In the field of marine, prediction of the marine safety is very important. It is reported that defects exist in the small intestinal epithelial barrier of inflammatory bowel disease, which might be associated with increased intestinal permeability at a very early stage. All endangered large whale species are vulnerable to collisions with large ships; and "ship strikes" are the greatest known threat to one of the world's rarest whales, the North Atlantic right whale. The magnitude of this threat is likely to increase as maritime commerce expands. Factors influencing the incidence and severity of ship strikes are not well understood, although vessel speed appears to be a strong contributor. The purpose of this study was to characterize the hydrodynamic effects near a moving hull that may cause a whale to be drawn to or repelled from the hull, and to assess the accelerations exerted on a whale at the time of impact. Using scale models of a container ship and a right whale in experimental flow tanks, we assessed hydrodynamic effects and measured accelerations experienced by the whale model in the presence of a moving vessel. Using an artificial neural network (ANN) prediction of the marine safety, results are compared with experimental values and deviations are determined. Based on the implemented investigations, minimal deviations between experimental and predicted values are obtained and can be concluded that ANN can be used for prediction of the marine safety. © 2011 Springer-Verlag.

The conventional model of diesel engine-generator control system used for automatic power station control is crucially extended to include speed, frequency and load. An on-line speed regulator for diesel engine power station was developed based on model free adaptive (MFA) controller. The proposed speed control strategy in this work consists of a main speed loop and a feedforward load loop. The control algorithm is organised in MFA controller which operates on a standard speed error signal and a power signal. The simulation results show that this speed governor system could operate stably, and all performances are quite well both at static state and at dynamic state. © 2010 IEEE.

Enhancing the human resource management in different levels is a critical success factor to advance the performance of management for universities.However,the traditional training system is lack of insufficient capital investment, deficient training resources, single model, few platforms, etc. In order to deal with those problems mentioned above, a novel of mangement training system based on RFID and cloud computing is proposed in the network platform. By the RFID read-write device control center collecting data, it transmits the data to the cloud, then implements centralized and distributed management of human resources.The human resource management can be sustainable development through this system. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2014.

This paper provides three types of modern bio-fuels transformation approach, and the corresponding products as well as their world-wide production and application situation. The paper also analyses the advantage and disadvantage of Marine biological fuel and current challenges. Developing bio-fuels should not simply consider energy exploitation, but should concern setting up matched production system and multi-functional frameworks, highly integrating environmental, social, and economic resources, so as to achieve goal of long-term sustainable development. Because of the greenhouse gas emissions, global average temperatures rise 0.7 degrees Celsius in the 20th century; while global energy demand will increase 60% by 2030[1]. Confronting the challenge of the global energy security and climate change and limited reserves of fossil fuels in the earth, all countries in the world aware of the importance of the development of renewable energy, therefore, as the preferred transport fuel diversity, bio-fuel development is causing concern in the countries all over the world. European Union, Brazil, the United States and China all established bio-fuels development goals, actively expand bio-fuel technology research and development to seek better non-cereal bio-fuel feedstocks. This paper designs a Vessel Remote Video Monitoring System based on internet protocol. The system uses positioning and network transmission technology to transmit real-time images of ships offshore to the server, to set up the client and visual monitoring ends. Ships monitoring personnel enter WEB monitoring platform with different permissions, to monitor and process ships image data through the network view, scheduling, monitoring terminals and other system modules. It also adds density ratio-based automatic alarm module to realize the intelligent early warning of offshore Ships density. A simulation based on simulink was set up to investigate the performance of marine refrigeration system. For the simulator focused on the operation and management, so the steady state simulation algorithm is to be used to build simulator of the whole system, it gives consideration to both efficiency and precision of simulation calculation, real-time of operation and management is increased. Compressor thermal model is simple, most of that use steady-state model with no iterative computation. Due to the need of teaching and simulation operation, we use lumped parameter method and partition method to establish mathematical model of Condenser, evaporator, expansion valve, evaporator pressure regulator, cold storage and other parts. True-time operation and the appraisal function has developed. The simulation result accorded well with the experiment result. This model precision is high and timely. It was acceptable used in the ships refrigeration system's operation. In ocean going ships, operation and management of refrigeration system is very important. In recent years, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) has improved the requirements of the training, assessment of the related personnel. Based on this, the use of computer simulation technology to develop marine refrigerating simulator has become an important means. But the computer simulation of refrigeration device current is the main components of the refrigeration system simulation model [1-4] Or research on intelligent optimization of the whole refrigeration system,and so on [5-6], There is also researches in the refrigeration simulation algorithm [7-8]. That researches are not suitable for the simulator focused on the operation and management. This paper focuses on the establishment of dynamic mathematical model for main parts of refrigeration system.The steady state simulation algorithm [7]is to be used to build simulator of the whole system, it gives consideration to both efficiency and precision of simulation calculation, real-time of operation and management is increased. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.
