The concentration of neodymium ions in the neodymium-doped yttrium vanadate crystal was measured by spectrophotometric method. The concentration of neodymium ions in the neodymium-doped yttrium vanadate crystal was calibrated using Inductively Coupled Plasma-Atomic Emission Spectrometry (ICP-AES) method and the absorbance of the crystal at 757 nm, 720 nm was measured with Lambda-950 spectrophotometer. According to the lambert beer's law, the measurement formula of neodymium ions concentration has been fitted out by the least squares and the result is C=0.0195+2.477×(A757-A720)/L. The method is suitable for the on-line inspection and product analysis, convenient and quick without damaging the product. ©, 2014, Chinese Ceramic Society. All right reserved.
