The first step in a integration processing or for any type of computational program is to know the grammar used by the equipment to be integrated or that will receive the developed program. The same occurs when it is important to extract information in a data mining process into a database produced by equipment or a system. Also, during the integrated operation of several types of equipment in smart-grids, it is fundamental to know very well each different grammar to obtain a correct integration. This paper describes a model for power distribution grid simulation with distributed generation, designed to be a simulation environment of two proposed elements: (1) an algorithm to reconfigure the circuit topology to enable a microgrid during an outage of power supply, and (2) a specific limiter to allow safe operation of distributed generation in the network. Moreover, an interface of the simulation model with a SCADA was designed to suggest possible operational screens for both: the generator and the utility. The simulation model was designed with a synchronous generator with all cogeneration typical controls: speed, active power, voltage, reactive power and power factor. Thus, it is possible to simulate critical situations with all control modes available in a typical cogeneration plant in addition to the proposed limiter. Due to the immense number of possible combinations of circuit breakers in the grid, the proposed algorithm is based on genetic algorithms to enable a fast enough autonomous reconfiguration to avoid the outage perception by the customer. ©2015 Elsevier B.V. This article presents the theoretical development and implementation of an adaptive algorithm for real-time measurement of electrical powers under sinusoidal, non-sinusoidal, balanced, and unbalanced conditions according to the definitions given by IEEE Standard 1459-2010. The algorithm is based on adaptive filter notch filter implementation, where the parameters are adjusted by tracking the amplitude and phase variations to improve the accuracy of the power measurement. The algorithm uses the filter coefficients to calculate powers, resulting in low computational burden. The results of computer simulation and practical implementation using a fixed-point digital signal controller are shown in detail, proving the accuracy and efficiency of the algorithm. © 2015 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC. The main idea of this project is to feed small loads along the lines of the TBE - Brazilian Energy Transmission with retreat directly from power lines without any physical contact. This paper presents the system for extracting small powers of the transmission line through electromagnetic effects. Initially, the mathematical modeling of extraction is presented, to then show some aspects of construction and prototype control. Some results of laboratory tests of the prototype are presented with various operating situations analysis. This paper introduces the system developed for extracting small blocks of power from a transmission line through electromagnetic effects. The mathematical models of the line and isolated conductor with the use of transverse admittance matrices for studies of isolated coil positioning are described. These models have been implemented in computer programs to test various operational situations. Studies of the best control structure of energy withdrawn through a system of power electronics to real lines in TBE-Brazilian Energy Transmission are also described as well, actual measurements made on a real 525 kV transmission line. © 2013 American Scientific Publishers All rights reserved.
