A 3D visual system is presented and implemented for power system construction to intuitively show the project schedule instead of texts and logs, which is based on the P3 project management database and uses 3D virtual reality technology to represent the project schedule in 3 dimensions to project manager. Key techniques are discussed, such as schedule data analysis of P3 project schedule database, 3D modeling of power system, render of 3D models, interactive interface of users. At present, the dedicated wired network transmission mode used to transfer power quality monitoring data has some shortcomings, for example, the accessing terminals scope and the bandwidth resources are constrained, the investment of construction and maintenance is large and the period is long, and so on. To deal with them, this paper proposes a 3G-based power quality monitoring system wireless communication network. The hardware architecture of wireless communication network is proposed and the VPN technology based on the L2TP and IPSec combination is used to build a virtual private monitoring data transmission channel. Through analyzing the measured data transmission rate, network stability and anti-attack capability during the test run, the high reliability, security and practical value of this solution are proved. Currently the 3G wireless networks is successfully applied in Sichuan power grid unified power quality monitoring system as an important supplement to the wired network. Source

From the aspects of split section and time, a globally coordinated control of power system split is proposed. The correlation among generator groups in system is obtained by the online slow coherency analysis during non-faulty period; the actual grouping pattern of generator swing is detected during faulty period by the MIA(Mean Index Adequacy) coherency identification; in the constraint of grouping pattern, the relationship among buses is expressed as the topological distance and the K-Medoids clustering of system buses is carried out according to the distance to obtain the split section meeting the constraint of islanding power balance; in order to avoid the cascading split and premature split, the "activation-blocking" strategy is applied to all lines in system to quickly and simultaneously split all participated power lines after the out-of-step signal of generator is detected. Simulation is carried out for IEEE 118-bus system and result shows that, when the inter-area oscillation caused by disturbance occurs in system, the proposed strategy successfully islands the system within 0.1 s, satisfying both dynamic and static power balance of generators. From the view of development, several essential issues of ISM (Intelligent Sale and Marketing) in smart grid construction are discussed, including the differentiation research, the smart grid and power markets, the virtual resource management, the design concept of ISM automation system, which tries to exhibit the theoretical hot spots and application development prospects of ISM in the vision of smart grid. The essential issues discussed about include two aspects: theory and application, which sketches the research line for building the theoretical framework of ISM and gradual implementing its high-level application. A power quality ancillary service platform based on the electric power information network of power supply enterprises is proposed, which applies the power quality monitoring data and offers various ancillary service functions, such as the effect evaluation of disturbance source and the design and verification of filter and SVC parameters. Its software architecture is based on the multi-Agent technology and each basic Web Service is abstractly encapsulated as an Agent. Different Agents can be dynamically integrated as needed to implement an advanced power quality ancillary service task, which optimizes the operating performance of ancillary service, enhances its intelligence and expansibility, and makes the functions applicable by other heterogeneous systems. The designed Sichuan power quality ancillary service platform has been successfully put into operation. Source
