The present invention provides techniques, schemes configurations and methods for removing or reducing heat in motors. In one embodiment, the present invention is directed to a cooling tower comprising a cooling tower structure and a motor supported by the cooling tower structure. The motor comprises a motor casing and a rotatable shaft. The cooling tower further comprises a cooling tower fan that comprises a fan hub, a plurality of fan blades attached to the rotatable shaft and a supplemental fan attached to the fan hub such that the supplemental fan is between the fan hub and the motor. Rotation of the cooling tower fan causes rotation of the supplemental fan which increases airflow around the casing of the motor so as to facilitate cooling of the motor. Other embodiments of configurations, schemes, method and techniques for thermally managing motors are described herein in detail.

A formliner for use in creating a decorative pattern on a curable material, the formliner comprising a cell and a rib extending along the cell and forming a boundary of the cell. The rib comprises a first section comprising a cross-sectional interior profile, wherein the first section is configured for creating the decorative pattern on the curable material; a second section comprising a cross-sectional exterior profile, the cross-sectional exterior profile of the second section being less than the cross-sectional interior profile of the first section; and a third section comprising a cross-sectional exterior profile, the cross-section exterior profile of the third section being less than a cross-sectional interior profile of the second section. A plurality of formliners can be connected by overlaying at least a portion of first sections onto at least a portion of second sections and by overlaying at least a portion of the second sections onto at least a portion of third sections such that the first sections of the plurality of formliners are flush with each other.

In one embodiment, a method of transmitting streaming media and advertisements to viewers at a plurality of viewer nodes is disclosed in which a plurality of viewer groups are created. Each viewer node is assigned to one of the plurality of viewer groups, wherein the assigning includes creating an advertising group map disclosing an advertising group to which each viewer belongs and transmitting the advertising group map to each viewer node. At the head end, at least one media stream is received including media content. A plurality of presentation streams is formed, each presentation channel corresponding to one of the viewer groups, by replicating the at least one media stream, each presentation channel including the media content and advertisements, wherein the advertisements replace previously scheduled advertisements. Each of the presentation channels is transmitted to at least one viewer node in said viewer group corresponding to said presentation channel.

A graphical representation of a set of graphical objects representing elements of a computer code is provided. The set of graphical objects includes a first graphical object and a second graphical object. The first graphical object represents a first element and the second graphical object represents a second element. The first graphical object appears higher in hierarchy than the second graphical object. The first element is higher in programming abstraction level than the second element. At least a portion of the graphical objects is animated to visualize an execution of the computer code.

A safety razor includes a handle and a shaving head. The shaving head defines a longitudinal axis, is mounted to a distal portion of the handle and has a rest position. The shaving head is configured to rotate out of the rest position in a first radial direction transverse to the longitudinal axis defined by the handle. The shaving head is inhibited from rotation out of the rest position in a second radial direction opposite from the first radial direction.

A liquid extraction assembly for extracting liquid from a mass including a housing having an inlet, an outlet, and a path between the inlet and the outlet. The housing has the mass forced into the inlet to move the mass from the inlet to the outlet. The housing includes a rotating screen adjacent the path, with the rotating screen defining one wall of the path. The rotating screen includes a plurality of openings located at the path. Pressure from mass forced into the inlet presses the mass against the openings of the rotating screen to thereby force at least a portion of liquid in the mass to pass through the openings of the rotating screen. The housing has at least one stirring arm extending into the path between the inlet and the outlet, the at least one stirring arm stirring the mass in the path.

An air-cooled heat exchanger (ACHE) for cooling process fluids used in an industrial process. In one embodiment, the ACHE is configured as a forced- draft ACHE. A support structure supports the forced draft ACHE above grade. A tube bundle is supported by the structure and is configured to receive process fluids used in an industrial process. A plenum is connected to the support structure, positioned beneath the tube bundle and configured to direct air-flow through the tube bundle. A fan is supported by the support structure and positioned beneath the plenum. Rotation of the fan produces an air-flow that is directed through the tube bundle by the plenum. A fan drive system is supported by the support structure, positioned beneath the fan and comprises a permanent magnet motor comprising a motor casing, a stator and a rotatable shaft, the rotatable shaft being connected to the fan.

A method and apparatus for scheduling and inserting advertisements into a plurality of presentation channels in a communications network in which the presentation channels contain the same programming, but different advertisements. A single programming channel is split into a plurality of presentation channels. Different advertisements are inserted into the different presentation channels. The advertisements to be inserted into advertising avails are they are detected are determined by utilizing queues stored in memory corresponding to each presentation channel. Each queue comprises an ordered list of advertisement resource locators (ARLs), in which the order dictates which advertisement is to be inserted in the next advertising avail and in which the ARLs indicate at least the location from which the advertisement can be retrieved.

An Ad Management System (AMS) for managing sales and insertion of targeted advertisements into advertising opportunities (avails). The AMS provides advertisers an ability to describe their advertisements (ad characteristics) in terms of target market demographics, required ad bandwidth, ad duration, and other ad specific parameters. The AMS receives the ad characteristics and matches the ads to the avails. The AMS tracks different avails including duration and bandwidth of the avail, and uses a number of schemes to determine if the ad can be placed in the avail including comparing bandwidth requirements. The AMS targets advertisements by correlating subscriber characteristics to the ad characteristics. The subscriber characteristics may be associated with groups of subscribers (e.g. nodes in cable television environments) or to individual subscribers.
