Salmon bones (waste) were deodorized by washing with aq. solns. of H 2O2 (cone. 5%), citric acid (5%) and EtOH (85%) and tested for odor by gas-chromatog., mass spectrometric and olfactometric anal, of headspace gases. The odors were tested by 3 independent panelists. The highest odor mitigation efficiency was detd. for H2O2 and citric acid treatment of the bones.

Four mineral-org. feed additives were produced of humic materials, herbs, alfalfa and glycerol by using exothermic reactions of CaO hydration and administred to laying hens. The homogenized egg mass was studied for content of elements by flame at. absorption spectroscopy. The contents of Ca, P, Mn, Cu, Fe and Zn increased mainly in the eggs when feed additives were administred, while Mg and Se contents did not change. The concns. of Cd and Pb changed irregularity. The lowest Pb concns. were found for the humic-herb additives.

Solid and liq. samples of tailings, as well as pasture and backyard soil, hay, wheat corn, milk and egg samples collected in 13 villages in the neighbourhood of copper mine tailing pond were analyzed for Hg content. The contamination with Hg did not exceed the acceptable limits.

The article presents divisibility measurement results of the Niemcza Zone granodiorites. It shows that the laser scanning could be good alternative to determinate rocks block separateness. Results of the research allow to improve the rational use of resources. It also presents that obtaining of block elements is possible.

Evaluation of blasting operations was performed in a mine of chalk-marls. The main objective was to obtain proper rock breaking technology aiming at decrease of seismic vibrations and rocks spread with simultaneous improvement of blasting efficiency. An integral part of the study was to prepare 3D model of exploited deposit as well as designing of blasting series including burden. On the basis of obtained results, several guidelines aiming at increase of blasting operations efficiency have been proposed.
