The substantiation of expediency of developing and determining optimal parameters of the implement for pre-sowing soil tillage by the Strip-till technology, was presented. The technical solution of the vertical milling adapter for strip tillage of soil, which is protected by an invention patent, was developed. The analytical study of the influence of vertical milling adapter on working medium indicates the achievement of high-quality soil crushing and stirring with the adjustable parameters of cultivation depending on the conditions of its performance and the assigned quality indicators. On the basis of regulative documents, the procedure of conducting laboratory and field studies was substantiated and the experimental plant with verti- cal milling adapters was developed. The factors, influencing the work of the experimental plant and the optimal indicators of quality of the technological process, were defined. We established the dependence of the parameters of tillage quality on the adapter parameters, accord- ing to which the maximum content 77.5 % of fractions with optimal diameter from 0.001 to 0.005 m and from 0.005 to 0.01 m in the culti- vated layer is achieved at angular rotation velocity of the adapter disks 26.5 s-1 and velocity of translational motion 2.2 m/s; the optimal value of density 1.2 ... 1.25 g/cm3 is achieved at angular velocity of rotation of adapter disks 14..16 s-1 at different values of velocity of translation- al motion; the maximum content of plant residues 79 % of optimum size from 0.005 to 0.03 m is achieved at angular velocity of rotation of adapter disks 26.5 s-1 and velocity of translational motion 1.2 m/s.

Morphometric peculiarities of the development of Oesophagostomum dentatum Rudolphi, 1803 from egg to infective larva were studied under laboratory conditions at various temperatures. The determined optimum temperature for embryonic and post-embryonic development of °C. dentatum larvae from domestic pig (Sus scrofa domesticus Linnaeus, 1758) is 22 °C. At this temperature, 81 % of larvae develop to the third stage (L3) on the 10th day. Temperatures of 24 °C and 20 °C are less favorable for the development of the nematode, at those temperatures only 67 and 63 % of larvae, respectively, reached infective stage by the 10th day of cultivation. Embryonic development of °C. dentatum eggs is characterized by their lengthening (by 8.87-9.50 %, p < 0.01) and widening (by 6.77-9.35 %, p < 0.05-0.01), and post-embryonic larval development is associated with lengthening (by 4.59-17.33 %, p < 0.01-0.001). © 2017 by V. On the basis of the neurophysiological strength-duration (amplitudeduration) curve of neuron activation (which relates the threshold amplitude of a rectangular current pulse of neuron activation to the pulse duration), as well as with the use of activation energy constraint (the threshold curve corresponds to the energy threshold of neuron activation by a rectangular current pulse), an energy model of neuron activation by a single current pulse has been constructed. The constructed model of activation, which determines its spectral properties, is a bandpass filter. Under the condition of minimum-phase feature of the neuron activation model, on the basis of Hilbert transform, the possibilities of phasefrequency response calculation from its amplitude-frequency response have been considered. Approximation to the amplitude-frequency response by the response of the Butterworth filter of the first order, as well as obtaining the pulse response corresponding to this approximation, give us the possibility of analyzing the efficiency of activating current pulses of various shapes, including analysis in accordance with the energy constraint. © 2017 Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Optimum design parameters of the tool for vibration deformation of bronze bushings: the punch angle β=9° the height of the punch gauge part - 4-5 mm are obtained. For treatment of parts, the vibration amplitude of 1.0 mm, the machining allowance of 0.4 mm and the plastic deformation force of 217 N/m2 should be used. The analysis of the microstructure improvement of the parts treated by vibration deformation is presented. Under deformation, more fine grains are formed and favorable conditions for dislocation generation are created, which promotes an increase in the radial deformation rate. The obtained process parameters of vibration deformation of bronze bushings allow reconditioning of worn-out surfaces. They can also be used for treatment of new parts, thus increasing the wear resistance of operating surfaces by 1.2 times. Lucerne improves yields and quality of subsequent crops by fixing nitrogen and increasing soil organic matter. In the Ukrainian region of Poltava weather conditions have become more difficult for producing legumes over the past decades. While the biomass productivity of modern lucerne varieties is well known, data on the nitrogen fixation capacity are still missing. Therefore biomass and nitrogen fixation capacity of 4 Ukrainian varieties (Lidiya, Poltavchanka, Vira, Zaykevicha) were evaluated in two field trials in two subsequent years. The seasonal average forage yield of lucerne was 10.5-11.4 t ha-1 with no significant differences between the varieties, but with a better performance at 1st and 2nd harvest in the second year because of a successful field emergence and water supply. An analysis of the genotype-by-year interaction on two experimental sites indicated that the old varieties Poltavchanka and Zaykevicha were well adapted to the experimental site environment. These varieties gave consistently stable shoot dry matter yields in both vegetation periods. Biological nitrogen fixation (average of 155 kg N ha-1) and N-balance (average of -159 kg N ha-1) did not differ between the four varieties, therefore the benefit for subsequent crops should be the same or similar. © 2016, National Agricultural Research and Development Institute Fundulea. Fauna of chewing lice parasitizing Gallus gallus domesticus Linnaeus, 1758 (domestic chicken) in the Poltava Region was studied. Four species of chewing lice belonging to Menoponidae, Amblycera and Goniodidae, Ischnocera were identified. Of them, Menopon gallinae, Linnaeus, 1758 and Menacantus stramineus Nitzsch, 1818 are dominant, and Menacantus cornutus Schommer, 1913 and Goniocotes hologaster Nitzsch, 1838 are rarer. The prevalence and intensity of infestation of chewing lice on chickens and their localization on the host's body were studied. Ratio of body lengths is proposed as a character that can facilitate parasites' identification. © 2015 by V. A. Yevstafieva.
