In this paper the concept of low temperature goethermal heat-generating plant and its utilization for heating buildings was presented. For the analytical purposes the authors have chosen existing drilled well located in Poczesna and Kamienica Polska communities with average geothermal water temperature at 19,5 °C. For the analytical purposes the authors have chosen existing drilled well located in Poczesna community with average geothermal water temperature at 19,5 °C and 24 m3/h spontaneous outflow volume flux. For existing well the monovalent and the bivalent low temperature geothermal heating system with heat pump was taken into consideration. The operating cost analysis has shown that proposed geothermal heating plant could be an alternative for fossil fuel fired heating plant only in a case of combining heating system with water supply. The energy-environment policy of the European Union has influenced on operation of power sector, especially on operation of power plants. The directions of power engineering development are determined by fuels qualities and applying of RES. The power engineering future according to Power Choices Report, Energy Policy of Poland to 2030 and other documents are presented. Power engineering is now in transformation period of the structure of the supply as well as the demand side. As a result some difficulties in forecasting of the longterm balances of power and electric energy have appeared. The scenario analysis methodology of the power generation development is presented. In the paper the results of analysis concerning magnetic circuits in the design of driving signals has been presented. In the research FEM Method has been applied. All simulations for computing flux density, forces, and torques have been performed by the program FLUX 2D v 10.1. The simulations have shown a significant influence of the driving current sequence impulses on the cogging torque in the hybrid stepper motor. Source

The paper presents the application of real options approach in the decision-making model of investment. The investment of nuclear power plant is analysed.
