The principles of construction and the components of a model of X-ray fluorescence signal generation are considered in this paper. It is shown that the developed model describes the X-ray spectra of various materials rather well. Issues with choosing the optimal parameters of measurements in the quantitative X-ray fluorescence analysis of individual samples using the constructed models are discussed. © 2017, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.

We present algorithms for computation and visualization of polynomial amoebas, their contours, compactified amoebas and sections of three-dimensional amoebas by two-dimensional planes. We also provide a method and an algorithm for the computation of polynomials whose amoebas exhibit the most complicated topology among all polynomials with a fixed Newton polytope. The presented algorithms are implemented in computer algebra systems Matlab 8 and Mathematica 9. © Springer International Publishing AG 2016.

An indirect competitive chemiluminescent enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (CL-ELISA) for the determination of dexamethasone (DEX) was developed using soybean peroxidase (SbP) as an enzyme label. A mixture of 3-(10′- phenothiazinyl)-propane-1-sulfonate (SPTZ) and 4-morpholinopyridine (MORPH) was used as an enhancer of SbP-induced chemiluminescence. Varying the concentrations of the capture antigen (DEX-ovalbumin) and specific anti-DEX antibody, the conditions of the assay were optimized. The values of IC 10, IC 50 and working range (IC 20-IC 80) of the CL-ELISA of DEX were 0.02, 0.9, 0.08-9.3 ng mL -1, respectively. It was shown that a pretreatment of cow milk samples by centrifugation and 25% methanol prevented the matrix effect of whole milk. The coefficient of variation (CV) and recovery values from the spiked milk samples estimated by the developed CL-ELISA were in the range of 2.2 to 9.9% and 82 to 142%, respectively. © 2012 The Royal Society of Chemistry.

Showed that filter effectiveness depends on distortion level and disposition in transmission channel. Distortion level ranges in which each type of filter perform best are introduced. The Neumann boundary value problem for the Laplace equation arises in the theoretical aerodynamic. We consider the problem in a domain, whose boundary is a smooth closed surface. One of the methods of solving is to reduce the boundary value problem to the linear hypersingular integral equation written out on the surface under consideration. For the integral operator in that equation, we suggest quadrature formulas like the method of vortical frames with a regularization. The formula provides approximation of the unknown function and it's surface gradient on the entire surface for the use of a nonstructured partition. We construct a numerical scheme for the integral equation on the basis of suggested quadrature formulas. This scheme provides the uniform convergence of numerical solutions to the exact solution of the hypersingular integral equation as well as the uniform convergence of finite difference gradient of numerical solution to the exact gradient of unknown function. © 2013 AIP Publishing LLC.

In this work, we propose a neural-network model of the ventral visual stream for 3D-object recognition and classification. The model represents a hierarchy of modules, which resemble the V1–V4 areas and inferior temporal cortex (IT). The architecture of our model is based on the modular network self-organized map (SOM). The model has been trained to perform object recognition and classification tasks that were reported to occur in the ventral visual stream in the brain of macaque monkeys. We show by simulation that the model is capable of classifying artificial three-dimensional (3D) objects according to their structural similarity and of achieving view-invariant recognition of the objects. © 2014, Allerton Press, Inc.

We construct a numerical scheme for the integral equation on the basis of suggested quadrature formulas, prove an estimate for the norm of the pseudoinverse matrix of the related system of linear equations and the uniform convergence of numerical solutions to the exact solution of the hypersingular integral equation on the grid. © 2012 American Institute of Physics.
