New sites of Lobelia dortmanna L. were found near Polanów in the Pomeranian Lakeland, in north-western Poland. In 2013 and 2014, two new sites of Lobelia dortmanna were found in Poland: the first in Lake Karpiowskie and the second in Lake Hubertowskie. Aggregations of L. dortmanna were observed predominantly on a mineral substrate between 0.1 and 1.0 m of depth. Surface water of the lakes had an acidic pH (5.48-5.82) and was poor in dissolved salts (14-16 μS cm-1), calcium (49.3 mg Ca dm-3) and humic substances. Moreover, in Lake Karpiowskie L. dortmanna occurred together with other species (Isoëtes lacustris and Sparganium angustifolium).
