Thiourea potassium hydrogen phthalate (TKHP), a semiorganic nonlinear optical single crystal is grown by slow evaporation solution growth technique at room temperature. FTIR and NMR spectral studies of the grown crystal confirm the chemical composition and their corresponding functional groups. UV-visible NIR spectral study confirms the transmission band of 100% in the range 200-900 nm with enhanced lower cutoff wavelength. The Single crystal XRD reveals that the grown crystal is an orthorhombic system. Thermal stability of TKHP was found to be 305.1 °C. The second harmonic generation (SHG) efficiency of TKHP is observed by the Kurtz powder technique. © 2016 Elsevier B.V. Source

Finding the division between malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM) and adenocarcinoma (ADCA) from the gene expression of lung cancer database is difficult due to its high-dimensionality gene with noise. This paper proposes novel effective fuzzy soft clustering systems with the combination of possibilistic c-means to distinct the MPM and ADCA accurately gene expression ratios of lung cancer database. Since the proposed method is capable in clustering highly correlated gene expression of lung cancer database, first time all 181 tissue samples are used for finding MPM and ADCA during the experimental works using the proposed method. The performance of proposed method in clustering the Lung cancer database is shown through the clustering accuracy and error matrix. © 2015 ACM. Source

In this study, triethanolamine (TEOA) capped CdO nanostructures had been synthesized by wet chemical method annealed at 648 K were reported. The structural, morphological and optical properties of the samples were studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) with energy dispersive spectra (EDS) analysis, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, UV-Vis spectroscopy and Photoluminescence (PL) techniques. The XRD spectrum showed that all the samples were cubic in structure. The presence of functional groups and chemical bonding had been confirmed by FTIR. UV-Vis measurements showed decreased band gap energy for TEOA capped CdO, when compared with uncapped CdO. The PL spectra of the CdO systems showed the red emission. © 2015 Elsevier B.V. The kinetics of benzimidazolium fluorochromate (BIFC) catalysed oxidation of indole-2: aldehyde (2-InA) with perchloric acid in 50% acetic acid-50% water solvent mixture at 303 K has been followed spectrophotometrically. The reaction is first order with respect to [BIFC], [2-InA] and [H+] and the reaction is catalyzed by hydrogen ions. A suitable mechanism has been proposed. Source
