The object of the present invention is to provide a hemostatic pharmaceutical composition that has higher usability compared to a hemostatic agent employing conventional biogels and may form a transparent and homogeneous hydrogel in a broad pH. The present invention provides a hemostatic pharmaceutical composition comprising a sugar chain-polypeptide complex characterized in that said polypeptide in said sugar chain-polypeptide complex is a polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence in which polar and nonpolar amino acid residues are alternately arranged, and one or more sugar chains are bound to said polypeptide.

The radioactive material adsorbent contains a titanate represented by a chemical formula M_(2)Ti_(2)O_(5) (M: univalent cation). The M_(2)Ti_(2)O_(5) has a large cation exchange capacity, exhibits thermal stability, exhibits excellent chemical resistance to acids, alkalis, and the like and, therefore is suitable for an adsorbent for a water treatment. The mechanical strength is improved by adding a binder to this titanate and performing forming and firing, so that pulverization due to vibration, impact, and the like applied during transportation and the like, and falling off of primary particles at the time of putting into water can be reduced.

Radioactive strontium is efficiently removed from wastewater containing radioactive strontium. In a treatment method for radioactive strontium-containing wastewater, wastewater containing radioactive strontium and a powdery alkali metal titanate are mixed in a stirrer-equipped reaction tank by stirring such that radioactive strontium in the wastewater is adsorbed on the powdery alkali metal titanate, followed by subjecting the powdery alkali metal titanate having radioactive strontium adsorbed thereon to solid-liquid separation. The radiation dose of treated water can be effectively reduced in such a manner that a powder of an alkali metal titanate is directly added to radioactive strontium-containing wastewater and is dispersed therein and therefore radioactive strontium is efficiently removed by adsorption.
