In summary, the current situation quite obviously reveals that China is dominating the textile market. Its consumption behavior has resembled that of a sponge over the past decade, consuming the majority of capacity produced by global machine manufacturers. In terms of DTY, it can be assumed that approx. 80% of all machinery built over the past five years went to a Chinese company. The remaining 20% are shared between the Asia-Pacific region and the rest of the world, whereas the rest of the world makes up at most 2-4%. Considering the investment waves of the past decades, it can be foreseen that China will cement its position, as 80% of the latest technology is being installed in the country. What is an automatic doffing draw-texturing machine? Simply, it is a conventional draw-texturing machine, where the machine itself - rather than an operator - performs the doffing by means of an integrated exchanging device.

Spinning line capacities are becoming increasingly large, with the majority of installations for polyester being spinning lines directly connected to a common reactor. Additive injection and mixing systems have been found to help in regaining lost flexibility resulting from these systems. Masterbatches and additives can be introduced into the melt path at various points between the reactor and the spinning positions with help of these systems. The injection unit can feed additives into anywhere between 2 or more than 48 spinning positions depending on the position of the melt distribution pipework. In-line design metering pumps are used to reduce the number of bends in the melt pipes for the entire masterbatch melt system. The masterbatches or additives need to be mixed into the main polymer stream in an even manner to achieve the optimum homogenization of all components.
