Main lines in which the designs of boilers produced at the enterprise were improved and modernized are pointed out. Experience gained from mastering practical use of the technology of low-temperature fluidized bed as applied to the firing of combustible shales, milled peat, and various wood wastes is generalized. The design characteristics of boilers and results from their tests are presented. Special attention is paid to formation of agglomerates from particles of bed material and slag deposits on the nonshielded surfaces of a furnace chamber, problems inherent in the given technology.
