Xiaohongshan and Damião vanadium and ilmenite deposits in the Tianshan mountains-Yinshan belts in the similar latitude. The early Hercynian gabbro rock is the main mine body. The consistent income-based distribution of vanadium-titanium magnetite is shown mostly in the surface, and in the deep is the magma-shaped like layered sub-vanadium-titanium magnetite output. The ore body is stable and rich. The magnetite and ilmenite ore minerals are mainly symbiotic elements such as vanadium, which is a magma-differentiation and segregation-penetration superposition compound type of vanadium-titanium magnetite, and a new type of type between Panzhihua and Damião V-Ti magnetite-type ore-forming characteristics, the discovery of This type of mineralization has a certain scientific significance for the similar types of vanadium-titanium magnetite.

In the east of Hongshui River, there was an intense magmatic activity and it develops into a series of quartzdiorite porphyrite and tonaliteporphyrite. The alteration characteristics of porphyry mineralized, such as chloritization, epidotization, carbonatization, potash feldspathization, kaolinization, dicanization, sericitization and skarnization, are commonly developed in the intrusion , wallrock and their contact zone. In this area, there are broad Cu, Mo, W geochemical composite anomalies, which are the typical elements assemblage of porphyry copper deposits. Moreover, the ore-bearing bodies are able to correlate the geochemical anomalies and we have found the Panyanggou and Wulade Cu-Mo ore bodies. So, eastern of Hongshui River has the ore-forming geological conditions of Porphyry Cu-Mo Deposit and there is a big potential for porphyry copper-molybdenum.
