Dolomite belongs to sedimentary rocks. It has obvious natural defects, such as joints, cracks and cavities, etc., compared with the intact granite. A set of dynamic tests of dolomite specimens is carried out by using a φ100 mm large diameter SHPB device. The statistical results of SHPB tests show that there are not one-to-one correspondence relationships between the damage characteristic and impact velocity because of rock natural defects, but there are such relationships between damage characteristic and energy consumption. If the more energy is consumed, the damage degree is more serious. The statistical results also show that the area surrounded by loading-unloading curve in one loop is agreed with the energy consumption, which further explains the physical mechanism of energy consumption. © 2015, China Ordnance Society. Detection probability is an important index of camouflage assessment. Based on statistical decision model, the relationship between single image feature and psychological perception quantity is set up by defining the similarity of four image features. Five psychological experiments were carried out, and the relation between perception quantity and detection probability was found. The verification of target interpretation shows that the target detection probability can be obtained by the model objectively. A new method is provided for camouflage assessment.
