Based on the investigation of ore-forming geological background, ore material source and metallogenic process of Lufeng-Wuding area in comparison with the metallogenic conditions of the Dongchuan type iron-copper polymetallic deposits, the authors further prove that the Lufeng-Wuding area is a concentration area of Dongchuan type iron-copper polymetallic deposits, that the ore materials were mostly derived from the mantle source in the interior of the earth in relation to magmatic activity, with a minor part derived from the underlying strata and sea basin, and that the ore deposits resulted from syngenetic exhalative hydrothermal deposition with the addition of late reformation. Three types of ore deposits, i.e., Xikuangshan type, Luoxue type and Taoyuan type, constitute a complete post-volcanic marine hydrothermal spout, hot-water deposition-reformation style metallogenic series in the folded basement bed within this region. The results obtained by the authors are of important significance for ore-prospecting work in iron-copper polymetallic ore-forming belt of Lufeng-Wuding area and also provide the reference for enrichment and improvement of the study of the metallogenic mechanism of iron-copper polymetallic deposits in this area. The Jinping basic-ultrabasic rock belt in the southeastern part of the Dali-Yuanjiang-Jinping mafic and ultramafic rock belt can be further divided into three sublets. The Baimazhai-Xin'anli ultrabasic rock subbelt and the Niulanchong-Jiangjiaping basic-ultrabasic rock subbelt are characterized by high degree of basic-ultrabasic magmatic differentiation, intense copper and nickel mineralization, and multi-stage and multi-phase rock-forming and ore-forming activities. Typical ore-forming activities of copper-nickel deposits in the study area include such types as liquation-emplacement-injection type and emplacement-liquation type. Baimazhai-Xin'anli district and Niulanchong-Jiangjiaping district constitute the central places of ultramafic magmatic intrusion and copper-nickel mineralization in Jinping area, and are also important targets in further geological and ore-prospecting work. As one of the numerous large-size gold deposits in "Yunnan-Guizhou-Guangxi" region, the Tangshang Au deposit in Guangnan County of Yunnan Province possesses a large number of ore bodies (with 89 known ore bodies) and wide mineralization space (ore bodies are hosted by a wide range of strata: from three lithologic members of Middle Triassic Banna Formation to Upper Permian Nasuo-Changxing Formation, Emeishan basalts, and Dachang layer, T2b3→T2b2 → T2b1→P2 n+c → P2 β → P2dc), and its ore bodies are strictly controlled by faulted structure, thus displaying its unique characteristics. The proven reconnaissance gold resource quantity has reached 18t, and the prognostic gold prospective resource quantity is 40 t. Source

With abundant sedimentary bauxite deposits and accumulative bauxite deposits, Wenshan area of Yunnan Province is one of the concentrative areas of explored bauxite reserves and also one of the most promising areas of ore-prospecting potential. This paper has made prospective prognosis in the aspects of ore-forming background, mineral deposit characteristics, enrichment regularity and ore-searching criteria. The bauxite resources in Wenshan area are divided into seven ore-forming prospective areas. Source
