The unsteady flow and the flow force in the hydraulic ball valve with the moving ball was simulated by dynamic mesh technology. The ball laid in the hydraulic valve was taken as a movement entity. With the ball moving, the boundary of the corresponding flow field changed. The pressure distribution in different moments were obtained. Then the flow force of the hydraulic ball valve was analyzed when the ball was moving. The numerical results of the static fluid force are basically in accord with the theoretical results. The analysis results are helpful to the design and the optimization of the hydraulic ball.
