The methods of mathematical modeling of stress-strain state of metal during rolling were analyzed. Based on the received bonds mathematical models for determining the local characteristics of the stress-strain state of metal in the zone of plastic forming were established. The data on the size is somewhat smaller than the data obtained on the basis of numerical recurrent solutions of finite-difference form of the equilibrium condition. It was found that the degree of mismatch of the energy and force approaches was less than 3%. © Metallurgical and Mining Industry, 2011.

The peculiarities of formation of austenite during cooling of steels with ferritic structure are studied. It is shown that the initial austenitizing goes on the diffusion-shear mechanism of the ordered crystalline phase transition. High-temperature poly-morphic transformations of δ- ferrite → γ induce the formation of a special morphological form of austenite. Its composition and structure are inherited by subsequent solid-phase transformations and the formation of finite structures with hereditary constructional and structural steel base. © Metallurgical and Mining Industry.

The aim of researches was an estimation of efficiency of the worked out volatile corrosion inhibitors on the basis of plant materials. It is established that the high level of anticorrosive defense is achieved by using them as an inhibitive paper and during application from a steam phase. Electrochemical polarization methods of research in modeling environments showed that the developed compositions exceed the protective properties of the known inhibitor of the NDA when using in a slightly aggressive industrial and marine atmosphere. ©Metallurgical and Mining Industry.

Liquid-phase reduction processes are the new and effective alternative to the cokeagglomerate- blast furnace technology of ironmaking. To date, there is no doubt in the efficiency of a large number of processes of liquid-phase reduction of iron. We have developed mathematical models which make it possible to select the most effective technology for specific conditions on the basis of certain criteria of optimization and speed limits. We created a dynamic simulator of liquid-phase reduction process which provides the development and improvement of the methods of process control. © Metallurgical and Mining Industry.
