Autonomous vehicle routing and navigation using passenger docking locations may include an autonomous vehicle identifying map information representing a vehicle transportation network, the vehicle transportation network including a primary destination and a docking location, wherein identifying the map information includes identifying the map information such that the map information includes docking location information representing the docking location. The autonomous vehicle may identify the docking location as a target docking location for the primary destination based on the map information, generate, based on the map information, route information representing a route for the autonomous vehicle to traverse the vehicle transportation network from an origin in the vehicle transportation network to the target docking location, and traverse the vehicle transportation network from the origin to the target docking location in accordance with the route information.

The urgency may indicate an advance urgency, and a graphical representation of the vehicle operation assistance information may be presented via the secondary graphical display portion. The urgency may indicate an advisory urgency or a warning urgency, a first portion of a graphical representation of the vehicle operation assistance information may be presented via the primary graphical display portion, and, subsequently, and a second portion of a graphical representation of the vehicle operation assistance information may be presented via the secondary graphical display portion.

A vehicle implementing vehicle operation assistance information management for autonomous vehicle control operation may identify a vehicle operation assistance information item, the vehicle operation assistance information item indicating a location of a candidate vehicle control operation. On a condition that the immanency is within the maximum relevant immanence, the vehicle may present a representation of the vehicle operation assistance information item, which may include controlling the primary graphical display portion to present a graphical representation of the vehicle operation assistance information item, wherein controlling the primary graphical display portion to present the graphical representation includes controlling the primary graphical display portion to present a first portion of the graphical representation, and controlling the secondary graphical display portion to present the graphical representation, wherein controlling the secondary graphical display portion to present the graphical representation includes controlling the secondary graphical display portion to present a second portion of the graphical representation.

A controller manages the exchange of electrical power between the electrical power distribution system and the battery bank by identifying a change rate in electrical power drawn by the electrical power distribution system from the grid, selecting an amount of electrical power for the electrical power distribution system to exchange with the battery bank based on the change rate, and signaling for the exchange of the selected amount of electrical power.


A V2X system includes an electrical power distribution system configured to draw electrical power from a grid, support the supply of the drawn electrical power to one or more primary electrical systems and support the exchange of electrical power with a battery bank including at least one rechargeable vehicle battery. A controller manages the exchange of electrical power between the electrical power distribution system and the battery bank by identifying a change rate in electrical power drawn by the electrical power distribution system from the grid, identifying the battery banks starting state of charge, selecting an amount of electrical power for the electrical power distribution system to exchange with the battery bank based on the change rate, the battery banks starting state of charge and a desired ending state of charge for the battery bank, and signaling for the exchange of the selected amount of electrical power.

Provided are methods and apparatus for charging a lithium sulfur (LiS) battery. The LiS battery has at least one unit cell comprising a lithium-containing anode and a sulfur-containing cathode with an electrolyte layer there between. One method provides controlled application of voltage pulses at the beginning of the charging process. An application period is initiated after a discharge cycle of the LiS battery is complete. During the application period, voltage pulses are provided to the LiS battery. The voltage pulses are less than a constant current charging voltage. Constant current charging is initiated after the application period has elapsed.

The autonomous vehicle may include a trajectory controller configured to operate the autonomous vehicle to traverse the vehicle transportation network from the first location to the second location via the route based on the route information.
