To solve the ground subsidence phenomenon that occurs in the subway construction in soft rock region, in this paper, we shore the soft rock strata by deploying deep hole grouting technique. The dynamic monitoring data show that, by deploying deep hole grouting technology in subway tunnel construction in soft rock strata, the surface subsidence value is always in control. © 2016 IEEE.

New construction methods were put forward to apply to rammed earth walls of raw-soil structure. Three specimens were built by the way of traditional horizontal layer, alternate layer and add-pin-key construction methods, the mechanical behavior and seismic behavior of which were studied. Vertical loading and low cycle reversed horizontal loading were carried out on specimens to study the failure process, failure mode, hysteretic curve and skeleton curve feature. The horizontal bearing capacity and deformation capacity of the walls also were studied, the influence of different construction methods on which was analyzed. Test results indicate that, compared with the traditional construction method, the horizontal bearing capacity and deformation capacity of the wall can be improved by alternate layer construction method, and the deformation capacity of the wall can be improved by add-pin-key construction method.

Transmission towers are traditionally idealized for space truss whose members are assumed to be axially loaded and stress calculations are obtained from a linear elastic and small-displacement analysis. In practice, such conditions do not exist, especially for UHV transmission tower whose structure is flexible, high-loaded and connection is complex. A beam-line model based on finite element theory is built, with both geometrical nonlinearity and material nonlinearity considered in the model. The method has been calibrated with results from full-scale tower tests with good accuracy in terms of the design load. The results show that UHV transmission tower designed according to the current theory has large safety margin, and geometrical nonlinearity material nonlinearity and bending moment should also be considered in analysis. So the, stress calculation method and secondary stress distribution of primary member is studied, and the method can be employed to assess the strength of UHV transmission tower and strengthen the existing towers.

On account of increasing contradiction between water for life, environment, agriculture and water supply in Haoshuichuan watershed, it constructs new projects for water diversion, pumping, transpiration and distribution on the base of current project layout. A unified deployment of water supply source is formed through 1 reservoir, 11 key dams and 15 medium-sized check dams which have been built in river basins. It establishes watershed water resources joint scheduling mode through application of optimization theory, and adopts MATLAB optimization toolbox for the solution of the model. The research result may provide decision-making basis for river basin agricultural layout, ecological restoration and sustainable economic development, also provide reference for joint scheduling of water sources in similar regions. © (2012) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

The horizontal bearing capacity and deformation capacity of the walls also were studied, with the influence of the built-in rope nets analyzed. Test results indicated that compared with the traditional construction method, the horizontal bearing capacity and deformation capacity of the new design wall was improved by built-in rope nets construction method. Thus, with the built-in rope nets rammed earth walls, the integrity of the raw-soil structure houses is strengthened, and the seismic behavior improved.

Construction of urban metro will be the development tendency of underground project in the future. The key to determining the quality of metro construction is construction of shallow tunneling and subsurface excavation in the stratum filled with established buildings. It is of great academic application value to study the quality control and deformation rule of the metro construction under the established buildings. This paper takes the underpass foot bridge project of metro tunnel as the background, through effective control measures of construction quality control, it guarantees the construction and operation safety of established buildings in the construction process of metro tunnels. Meanwhile, research on the subsidence laws of related stratum also provides reference evidence for the design and construction of urban metro. © 2015 IEEE.

In view of the well-recognized need for the availability of simple traffic noise-prediction methods for non-straight roads, such as interchanges and flyovers, an approximate traffic noise-prediction model, suitable for non-straight roads, was developed following the modeling process of the Federal Highway Administration's (FHWA) traffic-noise model. The approximate model is simpler than the FHWA model when the non-straight road is divided into several road sections, their traffic-noise levels calculated individually, and all the sound levels superimposed to obtain the total traffic-noise level of the entire non-straight road. The rational length of the small road section was investigated. The traffic-noise levels predicted using the approximate and the FHWA models were compared through an example and were shown to differ only very marginally. The approximate model is thus suitable for traffic-noise prediction for non-straight roads. © 2011 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
