Supply chain management (SCM) is one of the most important competitive strategies used by modern enterprises. The main aim of supply chain management is to integrate various suppliers to satisfy market demand. Meanwhile, supplier selection and evaluation plays an important role in establishing an effective supply chain. Traditional supplier selection and evaluation methods focus on the requirements of single enterprises, and fail to consider the entire supply chain. Therefore, this study proposes a structured methodology for supplier selection and evaluation based on the supply chain integration architecture. In developing the methodology for supplier selection and evaluation in a supply chain, enterprise competitive strategy is first identified using strengths weaknesses opportunities threats (SWOT) analysis. Based on the competitive strategy, the criteria and indicators of supplier selection are chosen to establish the supplier selection framework. Subsequently, potential suppliers are screened through data envelopment analysis (DEA). Technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS), a multi-attribute decision-making (MADA) method is adapted to rank potential suppliers. Finally, the Taiwanese textile industry is used to illustrate the application and feasibility of the proposed methodology. This study facilitates the improvement of collaborator relationships and the management of potential suppliers to help increase product development capability and quality, reduce product lifecycle time and cost, and thus increase product marketability. © 2011 Elsevier Inc. In the knowledge economy era of the 21st century [14,17], the competitive advantage of enterprises has shifted from visible equipment, capital and labor in the past to invisible knowledge nowadays. Knowledge can be distinguished into tacit knowledge and explicit knowledge. Meanwhile, tacit knowledge largely encompasses empirical knowledge difficult to be documented and generally hidden inside of personal mental models. The inability to transfer tacit knowledge to organizational knowledge would cause it to disappear after knowledge workers leaving their post, ultimately losing important intellectual assets for enterprises. Therefore, enterprises attempting to create higher knowledge value are highly concerned with how to transfer personal empirical knowledge inside of an enterprise into an organizational explicit knowledge by using a systematic method to manage and share such valuable empirical knowledge effectively. This study develops a method of ontology-based empirical knowledge representation and reasoning, which adopts OWL (Web Ontology Language) to represent empirical knowledge in a structural way in order to help knowledge requesters clearly understand empirical knowledge. An ontology reasoning method is subsequently adopted to deduce empirical knowledge in order to share and reuse relevant empirical knowledge effectively. Specifically, this study involves the following tasks: (i) analyze characteristics for empirical knowledge, (ii) design an ontology-based multi-layer empirical knowledge representation model, (iii) design an ontology-based empirical knowledge concept schema, (iv) establish an OWL-based empirical knowledge ontology, (v) design reasoning rules for ontology-based empirical knowledge, (vi) develop a reasoning algorithm for ontology-based empirical knowledge, and (vii) implement an ontology-based empirical knowledge reasoning mechanism. Provided are a bending die having surface microstructures and a bending punch thereof applicable to stamping processing to bend a blank to form a shape. The bending die includes a lower die, an upper die, and a workpiece placing piece. The lower die includes a die, and the die includes a forming surface. The upper die includes a bending punch, the bending punch stamps a blank placed on the die in a back and forth stroke, and the bending punch includes a working portion coming into contact with the blank during stamping. The workpiece placing piece is disposed between the upper die and the lower die and used to position or/and press the blank placed on the die. A plurality of microstructures are disposed on the forming surface and/or on the surface of the working portion.

A projector is provided, which includes a red substrate, a green substrate, a blue substrate, an X-cube, an electronic control element, a light guide element, a light valve element, and a projection lens. The red substrate, the green substrate, and the blue substrate respectively illuminate three surfaces of the X-cube, and the light is mixed in the X-cube and then exits from a light emitting surface. The electronic control element controls the red substrate, the green substrate, and the blue substrate. The light guide element is used for reflecting the light from the light emitting surface of the X-cube. The light valve element is used for reflecting the light from the light guide element back to the light guide element, and the light passes through the light guide element and then projected by the projection lens onto a projection plane area. Thereby, the ON/OFF switch time of the present invention is shortened, the temperature may not get over high, the optical efficiency is enhanced, and the whole volume is significantly reduced.
