The mixed ionic and electronic conductors (MIEC) of La 0.9Sr 0.1Co 0.8Ni 0.2O 3-δ (LSCN)-Ce 0.8Sm 0.2O 1.9 (SDC) were investigated for potential application as a cathode material for solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) based on a SDC electrolyte. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) technique was performed over the temperature range of 600-850 °C to determine the cathode polarization resistance, which is represented by area specific resistance (ASR). This study systematically investigated the exchange current densities (i 0) for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR), determined from the EIS data and high-field cyclic voltammetry. The 70LSCN-30SDC composite cathode revealed a high exchange current density (i 0) value of 297.6 mA/cm 2 at 800 °C determined by high-field technique. This suggested that the triple phase boundary (TPB) may spread over more surface of this composite cathode and revealing a high catalytically active surface area. The activation energies (E a) of ORR determined from the slope of Arrhenius plots for EIS and high-field techniques are 96.9 kJ mol -1 and 90.4 kJ mol -1, respectively. © 2011, Hydrogen Energy Publications, LLC. Social network sites games (SNGs) are growing in acceptance for users, but the intention to continue using such games requires further exploration because of the acceptance-discontinuance anomaly phenomenon (i.e.; users discontinuing use of SNGs after initially accepting them). The study integrates interaction and value as the antecedents of user satisfaction and flow experience; furthermore affects the SNG continuance. The results reveal the importance of flow experience, which plays a mediation role and produces indirect effects in predicting the SNGs continuance in the model. An area traffic control network system is considered in this paper. Optimal signal settings can be determined while trip rates and network flow are in equilibrium. This problem can be formulated as a nonlinear mathematical program with equilibrium constraints. For the objective function, the system performance can be defined as a function of signal setting variables. For the constraint set, a user equilibrium traffic assignment with elastic demand obeying Wardrop's first principle is formulated as a variational inequality problem. Due to the nonlinearity and non-differentiability of the perturbed solutions in equilibrium constraints, a non-smooth approach is investigated in this paper. The mixed ionic and electronic conductors (MIECs) of Sm 0.5Sr0.5Co0.4Ni0.6O 3-δ (SSCN)-Sm0.2Ce0.8O1.9 (SDC) were investigated for potential application as a cathode material for intermediate-temperature solid oxide fuel cells (IT-SOFCs) based on an SDC electrolyte. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) technique was performed over the temperature range of 600-850 °C to determine the cathode polarization resistance which is represented by area specific resistance (ASR). To investigate the ORR mechanism, the impedance diagram for 70SSCN-30SDC was measured under applied cathodic voltage from E = 0.0 to E = -0.3 V. It indicated that the charge transfer dominated the rate-determining step at the temperature of 600 °C; whereas the diffusion or dissociative adsorption of oxygen dominated the rate-determining step at the temperature of 800 °C. In this study, the exchange current density (i0) for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) was determined from the EIS data. The i0 value of 70SSCN-30SDC/SDC was 187.6 mA cm-2 which is larger than the i 0 value of 160 mA cm-2 for traditional cathode/electrolyte, i.e. LSM/YSZ at 800 °C, indicating that the 70SSCN-30SDC composite cathode with a high catalytically active surface area could provide the oxygen reduction reaction areas not only at the triple-phase boundaries but also in the whole composite cathode. © 2010 Professor T. For area traffic control road network under realization of uncertain travel demand, a robust signal setting is investigated in this paper. Due to certain hierarchy in a decision-making order, a min-max bilevel program is proposed. A new solution method is presented to determine a Nash-Stackelberg solution where a proposed signal setting is found for area traffic control under demand uncertainty. In order to investigate the robustness of the proposed signal settings, numerical computations are performed for various initial data sets in a medium-sized example road network. Good computational results indicated that the proposed signal settings can successfully reduce a worst-case travel cost substantially while incurring a relatively slight loss of optimality with respect to the optimal deterministic solutions for nominal travel demands. Particularly, our computation results showed that the proposed signal settings become even attractive as demand growth increases under a worst-case realization taken by uncertain travel demands. © 2013 Elsevier Ltd.
