Processor fault diagnosis is an essential subject for the reliability of a multiprocessor system. The precise strategy and the pessimistic strategy are two classical diagnostic strategies which are based on the well-known PMC model. The precise strategy problem of fault diagnosis is discussed widely and demands that all processors be identified correctly, specifically that all fault-free processors are identified as 'fault free' and all faulty processors are identified as 'faulty.' The pessimistic diagnosis strategy is a process to diagnose faults that allows all faulty processors to be isolated within a set that contains at most one fault-free processor. In this paper, we study the pessimistic diagnosis strategy under the PMC model for hypercube-like multiprocessor systems. The contribution is to propose an efficient pessimistic diagnosis algorithm for hypercube-like multiprocessor systems. If we denote by N the total number of processors in the hypercube-like system to be diagnosed, the algorithm can run in O(N) time. © 1968-2012 IEEE.

For area traffic control road network under realization of uncertain travel demand, a robust signal setting is investigated in this paper. Due to certain hierarchy in a decision-making order, a min-max bilevel program is proposed. A new solution method is presented to determine a Nash-Stackelberg solution where a proposed signal setting is found for area traffic control under demand uncertainty. In order to investigate the robustness of the proposed signal settings, numerical computations are performed for various initial data sets in a medium-sized example road network. Good computational results indicated that the proposed signal settings can successfully reduce a worst-case travel cost substantially while incurring a relatively slight loss of optimality with respect to the optimal deterministic solutions for nominal travel demands. Particularly, our computation results showed that the proposed signal settings become even attractive as demand growth increases under a worst-case realization taken by uncertain travel demands. © 2013 Elsevier Ltd. A manufacturing method of a solar cell includes the following steps, providing a substrate, which includes a first conductivity type semi-conductor layer and a second conductivity type semi-conductor layer. The conductivity type of the first conductivity type semi-conductor layer is opposite to the conductivity type of the second conductivity type semi-conductor layer. A graphene oxide layer is formed on the substrate and the graphene oxide layer contacts with the second conductivity type semi-conductor layer. A first electrode and a second electrode are formed on the substrate. The first electrode contacts with the first conductivity type semi-conductor layer, and the second electrode contacts with the second conductivity type semi-conductor layer.

A signal denoising method for a frequency-scan ion trap mass spectrometer includes reading a signal raw data array observed in the spectrometer. The signal raw data array is processed by Boxcar averaging method to obtain a first signal array. Then the first signal array is processed by a harmonic interference cancellation method to obtain a second data array. Next the second signal array is processed by a radio frequency interference reduction method and a third signal array without the background induced from driving voltage of ion trap is reconstructed according to the second signal array.

The present invention relates to a method or composition for treating diabetes mellitus, comprising administering a subject with a pharmaceutical composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of an active compound from Antrodia camphorate, such as antroquinonols, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. In addition, the prevent invention provides a new process for the total synthesis of antroquinonol. Also provided are the new compounds produced during the process for preparing of antroquinonol.

A method of detecting Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex (MTBC) in a culture media is provided, in which, the culture media containing the MTBC and a biomarker, such as CFP-10, secreted from the MTBC is provided, the culture media is filtered to obtain a filtrate, detonation nanodiamond particles are mixed with the filtrate to form biomarker-loaded detonation nanodiamond particles, and a mass spectrometry analysis process is performed on the biomarker-loaded detonation nanodiamond particles for detecting the biomarker.
