Electrospinning offers a versatile way to produce micrometer or nanometer fibers; however, electrospun fibers are typically collected in a random orientation limiting their applications. In the present study, we used the high speed rotational roller fixed with parallel sticks and an auxiliary electrode at the splitting zone of jet flows to control the fiber orientation. Because of the electrostatic forces acting on the charged fibers spanning the gap between two sticks and tangential force of the rolling collector stretching fibers, together with the electrostatic force imposed by the auxiliary electrodes, the higher aligned fibers could be produced. The simultaneous application of a rotating drum and an auxiliary electrode in the spinning zone may provide a viable method of controlling the alignment of electrospun fibers. © (2012) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

TiO2 photocatalytic membrane reactors (PMRs) are prospective technology of treating dyeing and printing wastewater. The type and structure of the PMRs currently used for dyes wastewater treating were introduced. In these systems TiO2 was successfully separated from water by means of excellent separation performance of membrane, reducing TiO2 loss, enhancing the utilization ratio of catalysts and improving effluent water quality. At the same time dyes and other macromolecular substances were degraded photocatalyticly, greatly improving the stain resistance to membrane and extending membrane's service life. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

The ordinary silk was puffed, the morphological structure of puffed silk was changed by testing, long diameter was shorter, short diameter was thicker, and the length to diameter ratio was changed. The properties of ordinary and puffed silk fabric were tested and compared, some performance of puffed silk fabric improved, means that the puffing treatment of Tussah silk is a useful way which can improve the performance of fabric and develop the silk product. © (2011) Trans Tech Publications.

In order to develop good antibacterial-fire retardant bamboo pulp/cotton tufted carpet, the paper selects the antibacterial agent and flame retardant, the antibacterial finishing agent adopts FK732 and FK822, the flame retardant adopts DM-07, the flame retardant finishing and antibacterial finishing process is optimized, the optimization of the finishing process is determined. Antibacterial performance and flame retardant performance of tufted carpet are tested by the authoritative organization, bacteriostatic rate is greater than 99.9%, tufted carpets have good anti-mite effect and good flame retardant performance. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Cotton Coolmax weft-varied fabric comfortability was discussed. Nine kinds of Coolmax weft-varied fabric were selected as example, JC9.7tex yarn was used as warp. Alkali peeling Coolmax 7. 6tex yarn, common Coolmax 8.3tex yarn and JC 9.7tex yarn were combined and used as weft. Property of the nine fabrics were tested including air permeability, moisture permeability and capillary effect. Method of grey clustering analysis was adopted to analyze test data, advantages and disadvantages orders of the nine fabrics comprehensive comfortability can be got. It is considered that cotton Coolmax weft-varied fabric comprehensive comfortability can be improved by alkali peeling. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Configuration methods of weft insertion processing on air jet loom were discussed. Take GA708-280 Air Jet Loom as an example, configuration methods of weft insertion processing was analyzed, including open and close time of main nozzle and additional nozzle solenoid valve, air jet pressure of main nozzle and additional nozzle, release time of accumulator retaining pin. It is considered that jet weft time parameter of air jet loom should be set according to fabric weave and variety. Air jet pressure should be set according to method of high pressure for example 4.0×105Pa to low pressure gradually. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

The moisture sorption property, air permeability, capillary effect property of five kinds of Coolmax weft-varied fabric were tested. Meanwhile,the regression equations of Coolmax fiber content with warp wicking height,weft wicking height,water vapor permeability and air permeability were also established. The result showed that the moisture sorption property and air permeability,capillary effect property of cotton/Coolmax weft-varied fabrics are better with the increase of Coolmax fiber in the weft. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Technical characteristics of RX240 - EST compact spinning frame agglomeration device are discussed. The tensile properties, hairiness and evenness CV and defects of the same specifications ring spinning and compact spinning yarn are tested and analyzed.
