With the fast development of the construction industry, traditional project management cannot deal with some complex construction projects. This paper introduced the development of the project portfolio management and the current situation of the Chinese construction industry. We suggested that project portfolio management is applicable and should be adopted in Chinese construction companies. In order to improve urban water environment project investment benefit, it is necessary to evaluate the performance of the project systematically and comprehensively. The paper takes advantage of DempsterShafer (D-S) evidential theory and triangle whitening function in data processing and data integration to construct the evaluation model. Firstly, the triangular fuzzy number is used to determine the indicator weight. Then the grey clustering matrix is constructed to determine the level of each criterion of the urban water environment project. Finally, the paper identifies the grey class of project performance evaluation based on DS evidence theory and determines the integrated performance level of project. In this paper, the nano-mechano-electrical characterization of hardened cement pastes (HCP) was analysed by in-situ Scanning Probe Microscopy (SPM), Modulus Mapping test with nanoscale Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (nano-DMA), and nanoindentation. The preliminary results show that the in-situ SPM images can clearly separate the hydrated and un-hydrated phase in HCP, the width of hydrated interfacial region in HCP is less than 2 m, and the hydrated interfacial region is a strengthening region in the mechanical system. Automotive steering system is used to change the direction and keep vehicles traveling straight. Electric power steering system (EPS) can improve vehicle handling performance and economy, has become one of hot spots on research and development in modern automobile steering system. Worm gears are important components of the electric power steering system; its transmission efficiency shall affect directly transmission efficiency and reset ability of the electric power steering system. Therefore, it is very important to adopt optimization methods to design the electric power steering systems. The fuzzy optimization model is established to design EPS. The method of second-class comprehensive evaluation was used by the optimal level cut set, thus the fuzzy optimization is transformed into the conventional optimization. This drawback of the genetic algorithm can be overcome by combining it with local gradient-based algorithms, which are known for their faster convergence. This hybrid approach improves the efficiency of the algorithm and also avoids the need to specify a good initial point for the derivative-based methods. A hybrid algorithm combining the genetic algorithm and local algorithm are developed in this paper, and the genetic algorithm can be combined with fuzzy logic to efficiently find a more accurate solution. ©2010 IEEE.

Middleware supports programming abstract which facilitate the programmer task and bridge the gap between the application and the hardware. Middleware for wireless sensor networks (WSNs) can help bridge the gap and remove impediments. This paper designs GWSN, a middleware WSNs, whose architecture is composed of runtime support, application development kits, and software development kits. Runtime support in GWSN is the core of WSNs middleware and supports executing and maintenance of WSNs applications. Application development kits includes many basic function kits, such as display editor, rule editor, and workflow editor, which support the application development of WSNs. The goal of this work was the synthesis of novel flame-retarded polyurethane rigid foam with a high percentage of castor oil phosphate flame-retarded polyol (COFPL) derived from renewable castor oil. Rigid flame-retarded polyurethane foams (PUFs) filled with expandable graphite (EG) and diethyl phosphate (TEP) were fabricated by cast molding. Castor oil phosphate flame-retarded polyol was derived by glycerolysis castor oil (GCO), H2O2, diethyl phosphate and catalyst via a three-step synthesis. Mechanical property, morphological characterization, limiting oxygen index (LOI) and thermostability analysis of PUFs were assessed by universal tester, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), oxygen index testing apparatus, cone calorimeter and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). It has been shown that although the content of P element is only about 3%, the fire retardant incorporated in the castor oil molecule chain increased thermal stability and LOI value of polyurethane foam can reach to 24.3% without any other flame retardant. An increase in flame retardant was accompanied by an increase in EG, TEP and the cooperation of the two. Polyurethane foams synthesized from castor oil phosphate flame-retarded polyol showed higher flame retardancy than that synthesized from GCO. The EG, in addition to the castor oil phosphate, provided excellent flame retardancy. This castor oil phosphate flame-retarded polyol with diethyl phosphate as plasticizer avoided foam destroy by EG, thus improving the mechanical properties. The flame retardancy determined with two different flame-retarded systems COFPL/EG and EG/COFPL/TEP flame-retarded systems revealed increased flame retardancy in polyurethane foams, indicating EG/COFPL or EG/COFPL/TEP systems have a synergistic effect as a common flame retardant in castor oil-based PUFs. This EG/COFPL PUF exhibited a large reduction of peak of heat release rate (PHRR) compared to EG/GCO PUF. The SEM results showed that the incorporation of COFPL and EG allowed the formation of a cohesive and dense char layer, which inhibited the transfer of heat and combustible gas and thus increased the thermal stability of PUF. The enhancement in flame retardancy will expand the application range of COFPL-based polyurethane foam materials. © 2013 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

This paper proposed a fuzzy power control system for distributed generation system. Fuzzy system was first developed to implement power distribution among multiple distributed generation units on the basis of optimal solution of quadratic programming algorithm. And then the parameters of the fuzzy system were optimized via a genetic algorithm. The simulation results show that the proposed method could be useful for a range of control system design. © 2011 IEEE.

A new method of introducing castor oil based flame-retardant polyols (COFPL) into polyurethane foams was explored in this paper. Castor oil was alcoholyzed with glycerol. And epoxidation of glycerolysis castor oil was carried out by formic acid and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). The flame-retardant polyols were gotten though ring-opening reaction with diethyl phosphate. A novel castor oil-based polyurethane foam has been prepared by a one-shot process with and without COFPL. The structure of COFPL was characterized by FT-IR and 1HNMR and the two studies exhibited characteristic peaks for COFPL. The thermal degradation and fire behaviour of polyurethane foams were investigated by limiting oxygen index (LOI), cone calorimetry test and thermogravimetry analysis. It has been shown that although the content of P element is only about 3%, the fire retardant incorporated in the castor oil molecule chain increased thermal stability and LOI value of polyurethane foam can reach to 24.3% without any other flame retardant. The compression strength of polyurethane foam was also improved with the increase of flame-retardant polyols. Morphology of polyurethane foams was examined by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and found to be displayed the regular size and high percentage of close area of the cell. Therefore, rigid foams from castor oil-based flame retardant polyols appear suitable for a wide range of applications. © 2013 Elsevier B.V.
