We report about the rediscovery of the holotype of the Southeast Asian striped skink Lipinia vittigera and provide a detailed redescription together with photographs and drawings. The species was frst described by George Albert Boulenger in 1894 as Lygosoma vittigerum based on a specimen collected by Elio Modigliani on the island of Sereinu (= Sipura), west of Sumatra. The original type specimen was considered to be lost for more than a century and was recently rediscovered in the Museo Civico di Storia Naturale "Giacomo Doria" (MSNG) in Genova, Italy. © Firenze University Press.

The female holotype of Clubiona distincta Thorell, 1887 from Myanmar is illustrated for the first time. It is considered a junior synonym of C. filicata Pickard-Cambridge, 1874 originally described from India. Two new species belonging to the genus Clubiona are described from Thailand. These taxa are C. digitata sp. nov., and C. aberrans sp. nov. The conspecific female of C. filifera Dankittipakul, 2008 is designated and described. Clubiona melanothele Thorell, 1895 and C. corrugata Bösenberg & Strand, 1906 are recorded from Thailand for the first time. Copyright © 2012 Magnolia Press.

Studies on the spider fauna of Southeast Asia resulted in a review of five Storena species which were previously described from Burma. These species were misplaced in Storena Walckenaer, 1805, a zodariid genus that is endemic to Australia. Four species are here transferred to Mallinella Strand, 1906: Mallinella suavis (Thorell, 1895) comb. nov., M. exornata (Thorell, 1887) comb. nov., M. fronto (Thorell, 1887) comb. nov., and M. decorata (Thorell, 1885) comb. nov. Mallinella irrorata (Thorell, 1887) belongs to an undescribed genus of the subfamily Zodariinae. This study also gives a complete list of all Storena specimens examined and studied by Thorell which are now deposited in four European museums. Copyright © 2011.
