A mathematical model of the process of thermochemical preparation coal before combustion was presented; gas and particle velocities, temperature and gas composition as a result of the calculations were obtained; was founded that at invariable initial air mixture consumption increased diameter of the reactor leads to peak temperature zone shifting towards the initial section; the influence of the coal particle form coefficient and its diameter of the intensity of the air mixture burning in the reactor and the position of the ignition zone was analyzed. © 2013 Taylor & Francis Group.

In the following article describes a method for calculating of the minimum pressure of hydro breaking of the coal seam. The method is based on the theory of cracks. It is assumed that the development gets an extreme crack in the top of which shear stress reach the maximum value. At determining the maximum value of shear stress we taken into account the hydraulic pressure of liquid, that operates on the inside of crack face, the vertical rock pressure effect, frictional force, the horizontal stress of backwater, the damping contact shear stresses from contact formation zones. Derive a set of equations to determine the minimum hydraulic pressure of hydro breaking of coal layer. © 2013 Taylor & Francis Group.

The main alternative technologies, technical and technological solutions in rational excavation of minerals were analyzed. On the example of Petrovsky quarry contact areas by type of host rocks were grounded, ferruginous quartzite losses according to the planned mode of mining operations for the period 2013-2025 years were calculated, the amount of rock to be lumpy magnetic mechanized sorting was defined.
