The article presents the results of extensive longitudinal comparative tests of low-power HPSL (high pressure sodium lamp) types Vialox Nav T (son-t) 150 W and Vialox Nav T (son-t) 250 W in complete sets with electromagnetic ballast and electron ballast produced by various companies. It was found that lamp voltage and lamp luminous fl ux decrease in long test modes do not practically depend on the ballast type (electron ballast or electromagnetic ballast). For Vialox Nav T (son-t) 250 W lamps, luminous fl ux decrease by 6000 hours amounted to 10- 12%, and for Vialox Nav T (son-t) 150 W lamps it was equal to 18-20% by 20 000 hours of burning. Voltage increase for Vialox Nav T (son-t) 150 W lamps amounted to about 4-5% by 20 000 hours of burning.
