Integrated signal pair elements are disclosed that can be inserted into and removed from a backplane connector housing as a single piece. Each element includes an insulative frame that supports a pair of conductive terminals in a spaced-apart arrangement. The frame is attached to a ground shield that provides a ground plane that extends around three sides of the signal pair. Cable wires can be terminated to tail portions of the signal pair and an insulative material is molded over the cable wire termination area to form an integrated signal pair element. The individual signal pair elements may also be commoned together in a linear array of signal pair elements by a commoning member that contacts the ground shields of the array of signal pair elements.

The present disclosure provides a conductive terminal and an electrical connector assembly. The conductive terminal comprises: a base unit, a contacting unit, a connecting piece and a tail unit. The connecting piece connects the base unit and the contacting unit. The base unit comprises a plate portion extending along a front-rear direction. The contacting unit faces the plate portion, is spaced apart from the plate portion and comprises a plate-shaped contacting portion and an elastic contacting portion positioned behind the plate-shaped contacting portion. The tail unit is connected to a rear end of the plate portion. In the electrical connector assembly, in every two mated conductive terminals between the first connector and the second connector, the elastic contacting portion of one conductive terminal contacts the plate-shaped contacting portion of the other conductive terminal and the elastic contacting portion of the other conductive terminal contacts the plate-shaped contacting portion of the one conductive terminal, so that two contacting regions are formed between the every two mated conductive terminal.

An improved termination assembly for a multi-wire cable is disclosed. The assembly includes a carrier member that includes wire nest portions spaced along a base portion. The wire nest portions are hollow enclosures that contact the exterior grounding shields of the cable wires so as to electrically interconnect all of the cable wires together through a common ground.

A card connector is provided for receiving an inserted card module. The card connector includes a housing including a terminal holding portion for arranging terminals to make contact with electrode pads on the card module. Each terminal includes a base portion held by the terminal holding portion and a cantilevered arm portion extending from the base portion in an inclined direction relative to the transverse direction of the housing. Each arm portion includes a curved portion and a pair of inclined portions. The curved portion has a curved profile with a curved surface positioned so the center of curvature is positioned above. The inclined portions are inclined relative to the extension direction of the arm portion on both sides of the apex portion positioned at the free end. A card holding member is able to be inserted into a card connector via a sealing portion of an outer member and able to hold a card. The holding member includes a card holding frame portion, a connecting base portion, and a movable connecting portion. The frame portion opposing side surfaces of the card. The base portion integrally connects to the frame portion. The movable portion mounts on the base portion in the insertion/ejection direction of the holding member. The base portion includes a first sealed portion which engages a first sealing portion of the sealing portion and formed on the outer peripheral surface of the base portion. The movable portion includes a pressure receiving portion which engages a pressure imparting portion of the sealing portion. The movable portion is biased towards the insertion direction and positioned relative to the outer member when the receiving portion engages the imparting portion.

The mating board comprises a board body and a plurality of conductive portions provided on the board body. The cables are respectively electrically connected to the conductive portions. The organizer comprises an upper cap, a lower cap and a spacer interposed between the upper cap and the lower cap. The upper cap, the lower cap and the spacer cooperatively define a filling space that includes upper cable passages and lower cable passages respectively extending along the front-rear direction and respectively receiving the cables so as to allow the plurality of cables to pass through the filling space. The binding material is filled in the filling space of the organizer and fixes the plurality of cables to the organizer.
