Herbal medication still happens to be the backbone of the major world’s population essentially because of the assumption that these drugs are free of any side effects and easily available. LongoVital (LV) is a herbal preparation with documented immune-modulatory and immune-stimulatory effects in man. Various studies conducted to date, have shown LV to have prolonged and beneficial impact in the treatment of orofacial diseases, when administered in recommended daily doses. With its combined antimicrobial and immunostimulatory effects, LV can be regarded as an emerging therapeutic modality in the treatment of orofacial diseases. © 2016, Journal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research. Adenomatoid tumor is a benign neoplasm of the male and female genital tracts arising from mesothelial cells. Fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) plays a pivotal role in its preoperative diagnosis. Therefore, it is imperative that pathologists should be well aware of its cytological features so as to avoid erroneous diagnosis and hence prevent unnecessary surgical interventions. We hereby, present a case of adenomatoid tumor of testis in a 41 year male diagnosed by FNAC and later confirmed by histopathological examination. Source

Potential serious complication of inadvertent intra-arterial injection of diclofenac sodium leading to gangrene has been recently reported in medical literature. It is a medical emergency and literature has shown that timely diagnosis with early intervention can salvage the limb. Penile cysts are rare benign lesions. Their clinical or pathological diagnosis is extremely difficult. Less than 200 cases have been reported in literature. Most of them are asymptomatic and present since birth, but usually they are only detectable in adolescence or adulthood. These lesions rarely interfere with sexual function. These cysts most likely arise from ectopic urethral mucosa sequestered in the penile skin during embryologic development. We report a rare case of a 55-year-old man with a 4.5 × 4 cm nodule on the prepuce (ventral surface), which appeared two years ago and interfered with his sexual function. The nodule was excised by circumcision and a histopathological examination revealed a mucoid cyst of penis with squamous metaplasia. No recurrence was observed at a one year follow-up and the patient’s sexual function returned to normal. © 2015, Journal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research. All rights reserved. Source
