Simple and convenient procedure have been developed for the synthesis of optically active1,5-benzothiazepine derivatives by reaction of 2-aminothiophenol with newly synthesized Chalcones under mild conditions in the presence of catalytic amount of Lanthanum Nitrate in short reaction time with excellent yield(75-80%)The products were tested for purity by TLC and characterized by MP, IR and 1H NMR spectral studies. Assessment of physicochemical characteristics of ground water of Beed city has been carried out using methods prescribed in APHA manual. Beed is a averagely populated city of the Maharashtra. Most of the domestic water requirements are fulfilled with various ground water sources. The physicochemical parameters like temperature, pH, alkalinity, salinity, acidity, Total hardness, Magnesium hardness, calcium hardness, chlorides, nitrite, Total Dissolved Solids, Dissolved oxygen, free Carbon dioxide were studied. Complex permittivity spectra ε* = ε'-jε" of binary mixtures of diethylene glycol monomethyl ether with aromatic compounds were obtained in the frequency range of 10 MHz to 20 GHz at different temperatures 288, 298, 308 and 318 K using the time domain reflectometry technique. Dielectric parameters viz. dielectric constant (ε 0), relaxation time (t) were obtained from complex permittivity spectra using nonlinear least squares fit method using these parameters excess permittivity (ε 0 E), excess inverse relaxation time (1/τ) E, Bruggeman factor (f B), Kirkwood correlation factor (g eff) were determined. On the basis of above parameters, intermolecular interaction and dynamics of molecules at molecular level are predicated. Source

In present investigation pure and KDP doped Cadmium Thiourea Acetate (CTA) crystals were grown by slow solution evaporation method at room temperature. The grown crystals were subjected to single crystal XRD to determine the volumetric parameters. The incorporation of KDP in CTA has been confirmed through the shifts in the vibrational frequencies of the grown crystals. The optical transparency of the grown crystals is examined in the range of 200-900 nm using UV-visible studies. The transmittance data was used to determine the optical band gap and essential optical constants viz. refractive index, extinction coefficient, reflectance, electrical susceptibility of grown crystal for possible nonlinear optical (NLO) applications.
