Methods for increasing the quality of operation of laser communication lines (operation, stability, and accessibility) as well as methods for evaluation of their efficiency are proposed. The methods are based on the use of aerosol formations, which ensures multichannel duplication of the basic optical channel. The generated additional channels are less critical to the directivity of the optical antenna directional patterns and the obstacles appearing along the optical signal propagation path. As regards the discussed methods, an adaptive method for the transmitter emission power control is proposed. © 2013 by Begell House, Inc.

Approximating functions of the frequency dependences of reactive four-terminal and two-terminal circuits' parameters are obtained. They allow generating frequency-modulated signals or demodulating such signals using one device with different versions of the two- or three-terminal nonlinear element inclusions by specified frequency dependences of the transmission ratio modulus and phase in the modulation mode and the quasi-modulation response in the modulation mode. © 2013 by Begell House, Inc.

A method for complicating a phase-manipulated signal structure and obtaining a multi-lobe autocorrelation function (ACF) is described. Functional intersection and concatenation operations are used to synthesize a jamproof algorithmic signal detection circuit by ACF parameters.
