We propose a method for small-scale experimental studies of the ladar characteristics of objects using a stationary land-based laser test bench, based on calibration of signals by employing adaptive specular/diffuse reference standards. We describe methods for field measurements of ladar characteristics of aircraft in flight by laser tracking systems for direct detection and heterodyne detection of the reflected signal, with the help of airborne reference standards and a moving object simulator. © 2011 Springer Science+Business Media, Inc.

Distribution coefficients of vitamin B2 in hydrophilic solvent (n-butanol, isopropanol, acetone, ethyl acetate, and their mixtures)-aqueous salt (potassium chloride, sodium fluoride, and ammonium sulfate salting-out agents) solution systems were calculated. The synergic effect and optimum proportions of components in the solvent mixture for efficient extraction of vitamin B2 from aqueous solutions were established. © Pleiades Publishing, Ltd., 2010.

The basic ideas of a method of comparing the effective scattering areas of reflectors in the form of segments of specular spherical surfaces and retroreflectors, used as standard and working measures when measuring the reflection characteristics of objects when using active lidar, are developed. We study interaction of structured illumination with randomly scattering media. Based on the equations of scalar diffraction theory we perform a numerical simulations of the propagation of a structured illumination through various scattering media. Applying the continuous sequential algorithm of adaptive phase optimization for focusing a scattered wavefront to a target, we explore the resulting phase distributions at the input and output of the scattering media. We demonstrate that corrected wavefront takes a spherical shape, which can be removed for imaging through the scattering sample. According to the obtained results the using scalar diffraction theory extends the limits of applicability of the sequential adaptive phase optimization algorithm beyond the focusing, making they as broad as in transmission matrix method. © 2014 SPIE.

Coherent reception of phase-shift keyed signals in the presence of multiaccess mutual interference is considered. It is assumed that signals with random initial phases and amplitudes containing regular and random components are received. With allowance for phase fluctuations of the synchronizing channel, analytic expressions are obtained for the mean probability of the error of information symbol value estimation in the case of the reception of such signals. The reception efficiency depending on the signal-to-noise and interference-to-noise ratios and on the number of interfering signals is analyzed. © 2013 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.


The elastic (G) and inelastic (Q-1) properties of (Co45Fe45Zr10)x(Al2O3)100 - x, Cox(CaF2)100 - x, and Cox(PZT)100 - x (x = 23-76 at %) nanocomposites obtained by ion-beam sputtering are studied in the temperature range 300-900 K. A significant rise in the QQ-1 (T) curve is observed at temperatures above 650 K, which is attributed to thermally activated migration of point defects under the conditions of confined geometry. © 2013 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.
