The electron properties of ionized carbon nanotubes (CNTs) of chirality (5, 5) consisting of 60 atoms have been studied using the Hubbard model. In the context of this consideration, it is possible to explain the coalescence of CNTs and, hence, the formation of aggregates as a result of the charge redistribution between the tubes. The energy of this type of bond per micrometer of tube length turned out to be about 0. 1 eV per atom, or about 1. 6 keV per micrometer. This result is in qualitative agreement with experiment. The most important and interesting finding is that the excess charge in ionized CNTs is distributed nonuniformly along their length, its density showing maxima and minima. © 2011 Springer Science+Business Media, Inc.

The energy spectra of all isomers of the C80 fullerene have been calculated in terms of the Schubin-Wonsowskii-Hubbard model. On this basis, their optical absorption spectra have also been calculated. The optical absorption spectra calculated for the endohedral Ca@C80, Ba@C80, and Sr@C80 fullerenes with the Ih symmetry agree well with the experimental data. This circumstance allows us to conclude that the optical absorption spectra of other isomers (for which experimental data are unavailable) obtained in this work can be used for their identification. © 2013 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.

The peculiarities of the acidic hydrolysis of chitin-glucan complexes (ChGCs) of higher fungi were studied, and the technology for the isolation and purification of D-(+)-glucosamine hydrochloride of high purity from hydrolysate was developed. The composition, properties, and purity of the product were analyzed by a combination of physicochemical methods. The yield of the final product was 20-60%, depending on the chitin content in ChGC samples. The obtained amino sugar was a white crystalline odorless powder readily soluble in water, slightly soluble in 95% ethanol, and insoluble in chloroform and other organic solvents, and on the basic parameters corresponded to the standard D-(+)-glucosamine hydrochloride. © 2013 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.

The vision system is one of the major sensory systems in the process of human-machine interaction. To improve the quality of interaction it is necessary to evaluate optimal parameters for the speed of perception and volume of visual information. New methods of evaluating the time of visual perception as well as the time of recovery and lability of the vision system are elaborated determining the inertia of the vision system and its ability to perceive visual information. New data on the temporal parameters of visual information processing are obtained through experimental research. Anticommutator Green’s functions and the energy spectrum of C60 fullerene are calculated in the approximation of static fluctuations within the Hubbard model. On the basis of this spectrum, an interpretation is proposed for the experimentally observed optical absorption bands of C60 fullerene. The energy spectrum of fullerene S{cyrillic} 70 is calculated for the Hubbard model. Based on the spectrum obtained, the optical absorption spectrum is calculated. The optical absorption spectrum so obtained coincides well with the experimental one. The absorption bands at 1.88, 2.65, 3.29, 3.47, and 3.77 eV are observed in it. A short description, analysis, and comparison of four different methods used for calculation of the Green's functions for the Hubbard model in the approximation of static fluctuations are presented. The Green's functions in the approximation of static fluctuations are calculated for fullerene S{cyrillic}60, and three main optical S{cyrillic}60 absorption bands are interpreted. © 2013 Springer Science+Business Media New York.


The article analyzes the norms of the European Charter of the Local self - government from the position of securing the core principle of the local government - publicity. Athough, this principle, is not directly covered by the European Charter, but some of its elements are found in numerous articles. The author presents comparative characteristics of the basic rules of the European legal act with the basic federal law on local government. The obvious advantages of the European Charter of local government are marked, in particular, the consistent legal regulation of the interests of the population in the work of local government.

The energy spectra of single-wall carbon nanotubes (CNTs) with chiralities of (10, 10), (11, 9), and (12, 8) are calculated in the static fluctuation approximation for the Hubbard model. The choice of these systems for investigation was dictated by the fact that these systems are the most typical of heterogeneous samples obtained by synthesis. It is shown that in the chosen model and approximation, the type of conduction is independent of chirality, which contradicts the generally accepted opinion concerning the critical dependence of the CNT conduction current on the chirality indices. The optical absorption spectra of the CNTs under investigation are calculated using the resultant energy spectra. The shape of the optical absorption spectrum averaged over the known weight composition is in good agreement with experimental data. The results of investigation suggest that the rule according to which CNTs exhibit metal-type conductivity when the difference in the chirality indices is a multiple of three; otherwise, they have the semiconductor-type conductivity, is in all probability not general, but has applicability limits that can be established by rigorous calculations based on the Hubbard model. © 2014 Pleiades Publishing, Inc.


The ecotopes of Actaea erythrocarpa Fisch. cenopopulations are characterized according to five of Tsyganov’s scales using bioindication methods. The morphological polyvariation of vegetative organs appears as elongation of the A. erythrocarpa shoot metameric units under different ecological conditions. As has been shown, the biometric characteristics of A. erythrocarpa individuals depend on the ontogenetic state and habitat. © 2016, Pleiades Publishing, Inc.
