The coalescing element (36) can be arranged in a housing (12) of the water separator device (10) in such a way that it separates at least one fuel inlet (26) of the housing (12) from at least one fuel outlet (18). At least one coalescing medium (58) for separating water which is contained in the fuel is arranged in the flow path (78) of the fuel. The at least one coalescing medium (58) comprises at least one sponge-like coalescing material which is suitable for coalescing water.

A filter element for a filter for filtration of a fluid is insertable along an insertion direction into the filter. The filter element is provided with a filter medium to be flowed through along a main flow direction. The filter element has a clean side and a raw side. A sealing surface surrounds the filter medium, wherein the sealing surface, interacting with a filter housing of the filter when the filter element is in an installed state in the filter housing, separates the clean side from the raw side. A support edge exerts a force on the sealing surface by interacting with the filter housing of the filter when the filter element is in the installed state in the filter housing. The sealing surface and the support edge are positioned at an acute angle relative to each other.


An air filter housing for intake air of an internal combustion engine has a housing pot having a housing wall and a receiving opening. The receiving opening is delimited circumferentially by a free rim section of the housing wall. Through the receiving opening, an air filter element with circumferential radial sealing element is insertable into the housing pot and a housing cover closes off the housing pot. The radial sealing element, when the air filter element is inserted into the housing pot, projects radially outwardly past the free rim section and seals housing cover and housing pot relative to each other. The housing pot is provided externally with a stop that limits axial deformation of the radial sealing element relative to the free rim section of the housing wall when the housing cover is placed onto the housing pot.

A plate-type filter element for gas filtration has a filter medium body with a circumferentially extending seal that contacts seal-tightly a first sealing surface of a filter housing extending in a filter element plane of the filter element. A sealing bracket is connected to the seal and contacts seal-tightly a second sealing surface of the filter housing extending at least partially outside of the filter element plane. A filter device has a filter housing with first and second sealing surfaces. A plate-type filter element is mountable exchangeably in the filter housing. The filter element has a filter medium body, a circumferentially extending seal, and a sealing bracket connected to the seal. The first sealing surface extends in the filter element plane; the second sealing surface extends partially outside of the filter element plane. The seal contacts seal-tightly the first sealing surface; the sealing bracket seal-tightly contacts the second sealing surface.


A filter device for gas filtration has a filter housing and a plate-type filter element disposed in the filter housing. The filter element is provided with a raw side and a clean side and is flowed through from the raw side to the clean side by a gas to be purified in a direction that is orthogonal to a filter plane of the plate-type filter element. A cover element is connected to the filter housing by a tensioning bolt penetrating the filter element. The filter element has a cutout forming a clean-side gas collecting chamber. A sealing element is arranged on the clean side of the filter element and frames the gas collecting chamber at least partially. A sealing eye is connected to the sealing element and arranged in the gas collecting chamber, wherein the tensioning bolt is guided through the sealing eye.
