From the concept of software dynamic evolution, the influence of software evolution on software mission reliability is analyzed in this paper. Firstly, the basic question of software mission reliability for software evolution is presented. Secondly, the model framework of software mission reliability is built, and the modeling methods for software mission reliability are presented. It is difficult to represent maintainability requirements (MR) accurately and intuitively, because software maintainability requirements are usually abstract and subjective. An approach of representation MR is proposed to solve the problems by UML Profile mechanism. It makes the representation of MR more intuitionistic, accuracy and understandable. Traditional network plan with the fixed duration for every activity is not suitable for actual construction management, because in actual project cases, the duration of every activity has many occasional factors. Using the Stateflow software, a simulation modeling for network plan which has flexible durations is established. At the same time, an example of flexible network plan is simulated. The simulation result suggests that this simulation modeling base on Stateflow can estimate the parameter character of flexible network plan effectively. © 2010 IEEE. Source

The mission reliability of equipment combat units is an important factor for its operational effectiveness, and also one of the important basic to measure other performance of equipment combat units. There were kinds of mission reliability parameter, and the parameter of mean time between failures was adopted. Based on the analyses to the levels of the aggregated equipment combat units, the signification of aggregated equipment combat units' mean time between failure was analyzed, the simulation method and simulation flow for the mobile aerial defense mission of aggregated equipment combat units was given, and then the simulation model with Petri-net and ExSpect was constructed. Finally, an example was probed into, to prove that the simulation model has relatively practicability. Source

In this paper, instantaneous availability models in continuous and discrete time are proposed for the one-unit repairable system under exponential distribution. Both analytic solution and numerical solutions for the continuous-time model, and the numerical solutions of the discrete-time model are presented. The comparison of the solutions reveals that with the step length and sampling interval decreasing, the accuracy of the numerical model becomes much better. At the same time, there are large errors between the analytic solution and the numerical solutions for the continuous-time model. Furthermore, in the same accuracy level, less computation time is needed to solve the discrete-time model than the continuous ones. Therefore, the discrete-time model is much more feasible to analyze instantaneous availability. Source
