The paper study production and process of carrot and honey health jelly, for the development to provide the reference by means of single factor, orthogonal experiment and the sensory quality as evaluation targets. The jelly made up of carrot juice as the main raw material, carrageenan, CMC-Na and agar gel as main colloid, and healthy and citric acid as accessories. The results showed that, carrot juice 30%, honey 12%, citric acid 0.28%, carrageenan 0.7%, CMC-Na 0.6% and agar gel 0.28%. The natural products of carrot and honey is taste smoothness, uniform color, sweet and sour moderate, have certain health care function, with the development of the future. Source

The 1, 3-specific lipase of Lipozymetlim was used as catalyst to produce low calorie oil through the reaction of soybean oil with glycerol triacetate. The effects of catalyst using amount, molar ratio of the substrates, reaction temperature and reaction time on the product yields were investigated. The orthogonal experiment results showed that the optimal reaction conditions were the substrate molar ratio of 2:1, reaction temperature of 60 °C, reaction time of 24 h, and 10 % enzyme adding amount per gram of substrate. Under such conditions, the reaction yield was 79.56 %. After 5 times reuse of the enzyme, the yield still could reach 58.94 %. The calorific value of the product was measured by calorimetric method and the value was 35 027 J/g which was about 75 % of the corresponding value for soybean oil. © (2012) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland. Cadmium sulfide flower-like 3D assemblies were successfully prepared through a facile additive-free solvothermal process. It was found that the ethanol played an important role in the formation of the CdS assemblies. Based on the time-dependent experiments, a possible mechanism was proposed. In addition, the CdS assemblies exhibit unique optical properties and potential photocatalytic activity. © 2011 The Royal Society of Chemistry. Source

The college teaching quality evaluation is a multi-factor, multi-variable fuzzy nonlinear process. This paper applied BP neural network to setup a teaching quality evaluation model according to the expert group standards, and trained the neural network model through MATLAB7.0 for learning complex knowledge and simulating capabilities. Functionalization step is generally prerequisite to immobilize metal nanoparticles on multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) for production of a high efficient electrocatalyst. We herein report a novel method to functionalize MWCNTs with 1,10-phenanthroline (phen-MWCNTs) as a catalyst support for Pd nanoparticles. Raman spectroscopic analysis results reveal that this phen functionalization method can preserve the integrity and electronic structure of MWCNTs and provide the highly effective functional groups on the surface for Pd nanoparticles. According to the transmission electron microscopy (TEM) measurements, the as-prepared Pd nanop articles are evenly deposited on the surface of the phen-MWCNTs without obvious agglomeration, and the average particle size of the Pd nanoparticles is 2.3 nm. Electrochemical measurements demonstrate that the as-prepared Pd/phen-MWCNTs catalyst has a better electrocatalytic activity and stability for the oxidation of formic acid than Pd catalyst on acid-treated MWCNTs. It is concluded that the as-prepared Pd/phen-MWCNTs would be a potential candidate as an anode electrocatalyst in direct formic acid fuel cell (DFAFC). © 2011 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
