Functionalization step is generally prerequisite to immobilize metal nanoparticles on multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) for production of a high efficient electrocatalyst. We herein report a novel method to functionalize MWCNTs with 1,10-phenanthroline (phen-MWCNTs) as a catalyst support for Pd nanoparticles. Raman spectroscopic analysis results reveal that this phen functionalization method can preserve the integrity and electronic structure of MWCNTs and provide the highly effective functional groups on the surface for Pd nanoparticles. According to the transmission electron microscopy (TEM) measurements, the as-prepared Pd nanop articles are evenly deposited on the surface of the phen-MWCNTs without obvious agglomeration, and the average particle size of the Pd nanoparticles is 2.3 nm. Electrochemical measurements demonstrate that the as-prepared Pd/phen-MWCNTs catalyst has a better electrocatalytic activity and stability for the oxidation of formic acid than Pd catalyst on acid-treated MWCNTs. It is concluded that the as-prepared Pd/phen-MWCNTs would be a potential candidate as an anode electrocatalyst in direct formic acid fuel cell (DFAFC). © 2011 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

The 1, 3-specific lipase of Lipozymetlim was used as catalyst to produce low calorie oil through the reaction of soybean oil with glycerol triacetate. The effects of catalyst using amount, molar ratio of the substrates, reaction temperature and reaction time on the product yields were investigated. The orthogonal experiment results showed that the optimal reaction conditions were the substrate molar ratio of 2:1, reaction temperature of 60 °C, reaction time of 24 h, and 10 % enzyme adding amount per gram of substrate. Under such conditions, the reaction yield was 79.56 %. After 5 times reuse of the enzyme, the yield still could reach 58.94 %. The calorific value of the product was measured by calorimetric method and the value was 35 027 J/g which was about 75 % of the corresponding value for soybean oil. © (2012) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Cadmium sulfide flower-like 3D assemblies were successfully prepared through a facile additive-free solvothermal process. It was found that the ethanol played an important role in the formation of the CdS assemblies. Based on the time-dependent experiments, a possible mechanism was proposed. In addition, the CdS assemblies exhibit unique optical properties and potential photocatalytic activity. © 2011 The Royal Society of Chemistry.

The college teaching quality evaluation is a multi-factor, multi-variable fuzzy nonlinear process. This paper applied BP neural network to setup a teaching quality evaluation model according to the expert group standards, and trained the neural network model through MATLAB7.0 for learning complex knowledge and simulating capabilities. The data test validation shows that the evaluation result agreed to the actual teaching effectiveness, and has a wide range of applications in various types of teaching management. © (2012) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

The paper study production and process of carrot and honey health jelly, for the development to provide the reference by means of single factor, orthogonal experiment and the sensory quality as evaluation targets. The jelly made up of carrot juice as the main raw material, carrageenan, CMC-Na and agar gel as main colloid, and healthy and citric acid as accessories. The results showed that, carrot juice 30%, honey 12%, citric acid 0.28%, carrageenan 0.7%, CMC-Na 0.6% and agar gel 0.28%. The natural products of carrot and honey is taste smoothness, uniform color, sweet and sour moderate, have certain health care function, with the development of the future.

Passive radar is a kind of that without its own transmitter and receive the thermal emission energy of an object or its source of microwave energy reflected from the radar to detect targets. The widely distributed GSM base station signals have GMSK frequency modulation characteristics, these signals can be used as a passive radar radiation source for its ambiguity function diagram with axes at a distance and no ambiguity in Doppler shift and the high side-lobe and so on. Multi-base stations passive radar positioning system is one of the important research area. According to the urban low-altitude air defense warning system development, this paper do some researches on line and plane intersection algorithm for passive location and tracking, based on dual-GSM base stations. Meanwhile, probe into the passive tracking technics by utlizing the State-Dependent Riccati Equation Filter tracking algorithm under the dual GSM base stations. Experiments shows that the algorithms have better positioning accuracy, high efficiency and practical value. © 2010 IEEE.

The information system of construction market supervision and business management based on Web includes three subsystems, which are construction market supervision, management of bid and tender for construction project, and application of construction project and this thesis adopts the combinative method of prototyping and structured life cycle to develop and study on the information system. First, it integrally plans and lies out by adopted structured method. Then, it analyzes the mode and content of construction supervision, and the flow of construction business and construction project application, gives the prototyping system of them. Then it considers the requirement and function demand of the users, improves the prototyping system, establishes a scientific flow, and analyzes its data flow. And then, it designs the integral structure of the system by adopted system structure based on Web, designs the network structure by adopted three layer B/S distributing system, and gives the detailed design of the code, database, input and output of the system. Finally, it gives the technical demand of the build of the integral network system, gives the demand of the software and hardware system structure, and displays the windows of the main function of the system. © 2014, Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.
