This paper aims to enhance performances of an image encryption algorithm by designing its parallel architecture, for the embedded computation in SoC (System on Chip) designs, using the means provided by CPA (Connex Parallel Architecture). Complying with WMSNs' (Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks) typical resources constraints and capabilities, i.e., due to a faster and energy efficient design, algorithm's parallel architecture, as proposed and investigated, is proved to be suitable for usage within WMSNs. A novel chaotic, permutation-substitution architecture based, grayscale images' encryption algorithm is introduced in this paper. To reduce the redundancies of Fridrich's structure based image encryption scheme, a novel inter-intra bit-level permutation based confusion strategy is appealed. The confusion stage is developed with the aid of KenKen puzzles. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the proposed method has many of the desired properties of a secure cipher. This paper presents an efficient method to determine the actuating time of DC fed electromagnets. In order to acheive it, the motion equation of the moving armature was solved using a numerical integration method. This method is illustrated by applying it to an E-E type electromagnet for which the velocity and the actuation time of the moving armature is determined, the results are obtained by theoretical methods. The attraction force applied to the moving armature was calculated using the finit element analysis software FEMM 2D for stationary conditions of the magnetic field in nonlinear media. The initial velocity of the moving armature was obtained considering the transient conditions of the feeding current, thus illustrating a comprehensive model for the determination of the dynamic behaviour of the studied electromagnet.
