Purpose: Development of the emotional processes application method, by analogy with human, in technical systems of patterns recognition. It gives possibility to enhance the reliability and reduce the time spent on the classification. Methodology: We have analyzed the appropriateness of use of different emotional processes in design of classifiers of technical systems of patterns recognition. The proposed information model of human memory has been generalized for the technical intelligent systems; it was based on the Atkinson-Shifrin concept. We suggest using of emotional components in the classification algorithms for the combined systems of patterns recognition. We have determined the ways of further investigations concerning the improvement of the classifiers design methods with the use of emotional processes. Findings: Comparative analysis of human-made intelligent systems with human intelligence showed the classification results discrepancy connected with the additional emotional aspects which are not considered. The proposed information model is a generalization of the Atkinson-Shifrin model for the technical recognition systems. To make the recognition systems similar to the cognitive human apparatus, we have proposed improvement of memory model through the introduction of characteristics describing the emotional processes. This allows ranking signs for their placement in short-term memory. We have proposed to determine quantitative estimates of emotional stats as a differential of the objective function for each individual information channel. We have found out that the use of combined systems of patterns recognition requires comparison of emotional processes on various information channels. Originality: We have proposed the information model of human memory that is a generalization of the Atkinson-Shifrin model for the technical recognition systems with characteristics describing the emotional processes, and the method for quantitative estimation of the level of emotional processes in technical systems of patterns recognition. We have defined the concept of emotional processes use in combined systems of patterns recognition. Practical value: The use of proposed solutions allows implementing rational aggregate of emotional components in the technical systems of patterns recognition. For defined conditions it allows us to increase the classification accuracy and reduce the time complexity of this process.

The lattice dynamics of rare-gas crystals has been constructed taking into account the deformation of electron shells of the atoms of the dipole and quadrupole types, depending on the displacement of the nuclei. The obtained equations of lattice vibrations have been investigated in the long-wavelength approximation. The role played by the three-body interaction and the deformation of the electron shells in the violation of the Cauchy relation has been discussed. The calculated Birch elastic moduli for Xe and deviations from the Cauchy relation are in good agreement with the available experimental data over a wide range of pressures. © 2012 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.

The short-range many-body forces induced by the overlap of electron shells of atoms have been investigated. The nonorthogonality of atomic orbitals of the nearest neighbor atoms of a crystal leads to the appearance of terms in the potential energy, which depend on the coordinates of three, four, and more nearest neighbor atoms. An expression has been obtained for the energy of the electron subsystem of the crystal in the Hartree-Fock approximation in the basis set of atomic orbitals exactly orthogonalized at different crystal sites. The behavior of the contributions from two-particle, three-particle, and many-body interactions to the crystal energy under compression has been analyzed. The short-range three-particle potential has been calculated from first principles and proposed in the simple form. The three-particle forces obtained change the behavior of the dispersion curves for all wave vectors, in particular, thus violating the Cauchy relation. The theoretical and experimental deviations from the Cauchy relation for argon are in good agreement over a wide pressure range. © 2011 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.

Cyanoselenoacetamide reacts with hydrogen sulfide to form propane-bis(thioamide), which can be used to produce thiazoles (the Hantzsch synthesis) and 3-thioxo-1-phenyl-2,3,5,6,7,8-hexahydroisoquinoline-4- carbonitrile. From the latter compound, 2-alkylsulfanyl-1-phenyl-5,6,7,8- tetrahydroisoquinoline-4-carbonitriles and 1-amino-N-(4-bromophenyl)-5-phenyl-6, 7,8,9-tetrahydrothieno[2,3-c]isoquinoline-2-carboxamide can be prepared. © 2013 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.

In the paper formal models of software systems and their components based on the notion of an abstract machine are discussed. Necessity to model systems with data accumulation sets the problem of study of generalizations of the notion of an abstract automaton. In the paper two generalizations, namely, preautomata and protoautomata, are considered. It is shown that passing from automata via preautomata to protoautomata can be naturally realized using the language and methods of category theory.

Ceramic (La 0.7Ca 0.3) 1 - xMn 1 + xO 3 samples are studied by X-ray diffraction, resistive, magnetic, 55Mn NMR, and magnetoresistance methods. The concentration changes of lattice parameter a of the cubic perovskite structure and its average ionic radius are in good agreement if the concentrations of anion and cation vacancies and nanostructured clusters with Mn 2+ in the A positions increase with x. Phase transition temperatures T ms and T c weakly depend on x, and the electrical resistivity and the activation energy decrease substantially with increasing x due to a change in the imperfection of the perovskite structure. An analysis of the broad asymmetric 55Mn NMR spectra of the samples indicate a high-frequency Mn 3+↔ Mn 4+ electron superexchange and nonuniform magnetic and valence states of these ions because of a nonuniform distribution of ions and defects, which decrease the amplitude resonance frequency with increasing x. The magnetoresistive (MR) effect near phase-transition temperatures T ms and T c increases substantially with x and is caused by the effect of a magnetic field on the scattering of charge carriers by intracrystallite nanostructured heterogeneities of an imperfect perovskite structure. The second MR effect is located in the low-temperature range, is related to tunneling through mesostructural crystallite boundaries, and decreases weakly with increasing x. A correlation is found between the hyperstoichiometric manganese content, the imperfection of the perovskite structure, and the magnitude of the MR effect. © 2012 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.

The quantum-mechanical model of deformable and polarizable atoms has been developed for the purpose of investigating the elastic properties of crystals of rare gases Kr and Xe over a wide range of pressures. The inclusion of the deformable electron shells in the analysis is particularly important for the shear moduli of heavy rare-gas crystals. It has been shown that the observed deviation from the Cauchy relation δ(p) for Kr and Xe cannot be adequately reproduced when considering only the many-body interaction. The individual dependence δ(p) for each of the rare-gas crystals is the result of two competitive interactions, namely, the many-body and electron-phonon interactions, which manifests itself in a quadrupole deformation of the electron shells of the atoms due to displacements of the nuclei. The contributions of these interactions in Kr and Xe are compensated with good accuracy, which provides a weakly pressure-dependent value for the parameter δ. The ab initio calculated dependences δ(p) for the entire series Ne-Xe are in good agreement with the experiment. © 2013 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.

An ab initio version of the model with deformable atoms has been constructed to investigate the elastic properties of compressed crystalline neon. Approximations for the calculating parameters of quadrupole deformation of atomic electron shells have been discussed. It has been shown that the pressure dependence of the deviation from the Cauchy relation δ is the result of two competitive interactions, namely, the many-body and electron-phonon interactions, which manifests itself in the deformation of atomic electron shells during the shift of nuclei. In the case of Ne, contributions of these interactions are compensated to a large degree, which provides a weakly pressure-dependent positive value for δ. The agreement of calculated elastic moduli and deviations from the Cauchy relation for Ne with the experiment is good. © 2013 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.

Fish otoliths are described from the Uzunbas Formation (Rupelian) of the Karagie depression, Mangyshlak Peninsula, Western Kazakhstan. A total of 9 species are described, 3 as newly established (Pterothrissus caspiensis sp. nov., Palaeogadus schwarzhansi sp. nov., Palimphyes stol-yarovi sp. nov.) and 2 in open nomenclature. This is the first record of Rupelian otoliths from Kazakhstan and the Turan Basin, which formed the eastward extension of the Paratethys during Late Paleogene. Expectedly, the fauna from Uzunbas shows considerable resemblance with the Rupelian fish faunas of the Caucasus, the Crimea, and Western Europe. Gadiform otoliths dominate the otolith association (Raniceps tuberculosus, Palaeogadus schwarzhansi sp. nov., Palaeogadus germanus, Palaeogadus rarus). The faunal composition indicates a marine, temperate palaeoenvironment within the neritic zone. © 2013 E. Schweizerbart'sche Verlagsbuchhandlung.
