For the un-granted ancient sewer system of Linz the subsequent granting had been accomplished by the LINZ AG. For this granting it was necessary to get information about the real hydraulic capacity conditions for the whole sewer system of Linz. Therefore, hydrodynamic modelling considering the new ÖWAV Guideline 11 (2009) was conducted. By means of measured water levels and flow values the hydrodynamic sewer model was calibrated and verified. This procedure guarantees serious and reliable modelling results in a high temporal resolution. The sewer model in this case project includes the influence of the surrounding communities (combination of a detail and a rough model) und delivers results of the hydraulic status quo. These results will be basis for future rehabilitation as well as conceptual design. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.
