The boom of gaming industry in Southeast Asia has resulted in the increase of large-scale tourism casinos and small and medium casinos. Manually managing the revenue and the members of casinos are considered insufficient but the costs and the maintenance for large-scale systems are abundant that lots of small and medium casinos still adopt manual management. Nonetheless, the increasing number of casinos has enhanced the fierce competition among casinos; and, gaming industry, which used to make money easily, now can make profits merely by effective management. The importance of casino management systems is therefore largely enhanced. Technologically, the introduction of cloud computing could solve the problems of acquiring the same services without investing enormous costs and merely focusing on system management but having system management companies assist in the maintenance. Furthermore, applying QR codes to ID authentication could solve many problems for casinos. Traditionally, the members could accumulate the reward points for free coupons of meals, accommodation, and gifts with the membership cards. Now, the members could have QR codes as the temporary ID authentication, instead of membership cards, that casinos could save the cost for making membership cards. The analysis of casinos achieved the business intelligence through cloud computing allows small and medium casinos to present more efficient management and better competitiveness, as such casinos cannot provide comparative equipment as large-scale tourism casinos can customize services becoming stronger. However, understanding the preference of members and timely offering customized services are the best effectiveness of business intelligence analysis. © 2016 IEEE.

This study is showing the advantage of mobile agents to conquer heterogeneous system environments and contribute to a virtual integrated sharing system. Mobile agents will collect medical information from each medical institution as a method to achieve the medical purpose of data sharing. Besides, this research also provides an access control and key management mechanism by adopting Public key cryptography and Lagrange interpolation. The safety analysis of the system is based on a network attackers perspective. The achievement of this study tries to improve the medical quality, prevent wasting medical resources and make medical resources access to appropriate configuration.

With the rapid development of the Internet, on which many users start to take action in putting personal or corporate information and sharing them with everyone. The Internet is public as it were, if the limit of authority is not controlled to assure the security, it is possible that those attackers could illegally access to important information and destroy them. Not only is personal privacy invaded, but the mass properties are also damaged. Therefore, an effective access control system has been strongly emphasized in modern societies. To fight against these network attacks, it is necessary to establish an effective and secure access control system. Here, a scheme, a key management called Lagrange interpolation mainly takes an access control model as the framework, is proposed and Elliptic Curve Cryptography system is used for enhancing the security. The reason of choosing Lagrange interpolation is that the key used is randomized, no relationship between each key. With Elliptic Curve Cryptography system, it is expected to have attackers waste their time dealing with Elliptic Curve Discrete Logarithm Problem. Once the prime number is big enough, attackers will have trouble deciphering the key. An access control is comprehensive. For example, if the mobile agent technology is applied to an access control and key management, it would waste space and cause some flaws in the security.Moreover, there are still a lot of works to do on medical applications. Hence, these schemes are proposed for mobile agents in order to reach the improvement and then analyze the security and try to simulate what attackers will do. Four common attacks, namely External Collective Attack, Internal Attack, Collusion Attacks and Equation Breaking Attack are concluded. As results, attackers are hard to decipher the key because of no relationship between each key and will have to face Elliptic Curve Discrete Logarithm Problem. It is confirmed that the proposed schemes can be safer and more efficient in protecting mobile agents. © 2015 NSP Natural Sciences Publishing Cor.

Pet markets involve in great commercial possibilities, which boost thriving development of veterinary hospital businesses. The service tends to intensive competition and diversified channel environment. Information technology is integrated for developing the veterinary hospital cloud service platform. The platform contains not only pet medical services but veterinary hospital management and services. In the study, QR Code andcloud technology are applied to establish the veterinary hospital cloud service platform for pet search by labeling a pet’s identification with QR Code. This technology can break the restriction on veterinary hospital inspection in different areas and allows veterinary hospitals receiving the medical records and information through the exclusive QR Code for more effective inspection. As an interactive platform, the veterinary hospital cloud service platform allows pet owners gaining the knowledge of pet diseases and healthcare. Moreover, pet owners can enquire and communicate with veterinarians through the platform. Also, veterinary hospitals can periodically send reminders of relevant points and introduce exclusive marketing information with the platform for promoting the service items and establishing individualized marketing. Consequently, veterinary hospitals can increase the profits by information share and create the best solution in such a competitive veterinary market with industry alliance. © 2016, Springer Science+Business Media New York.

The study presents a threshold signature scheme. While developing threshold cryptography, the concept of threshold signature can accomplish a tradeoff between efficiency in use and dependability of security. The presented threshold signature scheme can resist conspiracy attack by controlling the right of issuing group signature, and the performance of constructing group signature is also enhanced by simplifying keys. © 2014 NSP Natural Sciences Publishing Cor.

Theme restaurants are primarily run based on spatial planning, decor and entertainment arrangements, with a distinctive theme or specific style to attract consumers and create a value in the minds of consumers. However, after a rapid growth in popularity in the early to mid-1990s, theme restaurants began to lose market share, and many once popular brands were forced to downsize. This study explores the physical factors of theme restaurants that influence consumer perceptions to develop an assessment tool for the planning and design stage. First, various dimensions and facets were identified and developed into questionnaire items after referencing publicly available scales. The "Theme Restaurant Physical Factor Scale" was established after testing the pilot samples of 279 people and the official samples of 286 people. The analysis results indicate that a two-order confirmatory factor analysis of structural equation models is effective for verifying the theme restaurant physical factor scale. Among them, five latent variables, including aesthetics, ambient condition, space/function, seating comfort, and cleanliness, and 18 observable variables can be used as effective evaluation measurement indicators. The scale has relatively high reference value and can be applied to the restaurant industry and by designers for evaluation. © 2015, Architectural Institute of Japan. All right reserved.

A location-aware service (LAS) is an imperative topic in ambient intelligence; an LAS recommends suitable utilities to a user based on the user's location and context. However, current LASs have several problems, and most of these services do not last. This study proposes an optimization-based approach for enhancing the sustainability of an LAS. In this paper, problems related to optimizing an LAS system are presented. The distinct nature of an LAS optimization problem in comparison with traditional optimization problems is subsequently described. Existing methods applicable to solving an LAS optimization problem are also reviewed. The advantages and disadvantages of each method are then discussed as a motive for combining multiple optimization methods in this study, as illustrated by an example. Finally, opportunities and challenges faced by researchers in this field are presented. © 2014 by the authors.

This paper constructs a data-mining-based localized scheduling system to improve the performance of scheduling jobs in a wafer fabrication factory (wafer fab). The system is modified from Chen's tailored nonlinear fluctuation smoothing (TNFS) rule with some innovative treatments. First, the remaining cycle time of a job to be scheduled is estimated with a data mining approach instead to improve the accuracy. Second, in the original TNFS rule, the adjustable factor is static, while in this system it becomes dynamic. Third, the adjustable factor is also dependent on the stages of the jobs to be scheduled. Namely, the TNFS rule is localized. To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed methodology, production simulation was also applied in this study. According to experimental results, the proposed methodology outperformed some existing approaches in reducing the average cycle time and cycle time variation. © 2010 Praise Worthy Prize S.r.l. - All rights reserved.

In the past twenty years, following the transformation of industrial technology and structure, needs created by modern life, issues regarding environment protection, and simply new ways of thinking have revolutionized the core value of product design. There is more to be considered than just the convenience that a product can bring. Consumers nowadays also want to learn how to use a new product in the most efficient way, and many industrial designers see that as one of their goals. The use of Product Semantics in product design is a proper means to communicate the information that consumers need in order to improve their overall experience using the product. Recent research focuses on the application of product design semantics, in order to discover how designers convey messages through the use of semantics, i.e. styles, colors, functions and textures, etc. It seeks to determine how the best way for the designer to communicate all that information to the consumer. A designer want the user to be able to operate his product under "zero obstacle" conditions, to understand the message the product carries, and to enhance the consumer's pleasure and comfort during its operation. From the perspective of industrial design, there are two summarized main points: 1. Product design is now defined as a system to communicate product information based mainly on product use circumstances. 2.
