Methods and kits for measuring a component to be measured in a specimen are provided, which enable accurate measurements that are not affected by reaction temperatures or such when measuring the component to be measured, such as antigens. Methods for measuring a component to be measured, which comprise: reacting, in the presence of a fatty acid alkanolamide, a component to be measured in a specimen with a first antibody which binds to the component to be measured; then reacting a labeled second antibody, in which a label is bound to a second antibody that binds to the component to be measured, to form an immunocomplex comprising the first antibody, the component to be measured, and the labeled second antibody; and measuring the amount of the label in the formed immunocomplex; and kits for measuring the component to be measured in a specimen used in the measurement methods.

The present invention provides a method for stabilizing a cholesterol oxidase, a method for preserving a cholesterol oxidase, and a stabilized composition of cholesterol oxidase. A method for stabilizing a cholesterol oxidase and a method for preserving a cholesterol oxidase which comprises allowing the cholesterol oxidase to coexist with an -keto acid in an aqueous medium, and, a stabilized composition of cholesterol oxidase which comprises the cholesterol oxidase being allowed to coexist with an -keto acid in an aqueous medium. The method for stabilizing a cholesterol oxidase, the method for preserving a cholesterol oxidase, and a stabilized composition of cholesterol oxidase according to the present invention are useful for clinical diagnosis such as metabolic syndrome.

Provided is a method for measuring cholesterol in high-density lipoprotein (HDL) simply and accurately. The present invention provides a method for measuring glycated hemoglobin in a sample, which comprises directly oxidizing glycated hemoglobin in a sample, and then measuring a substance produced or consumed by the oxidation; and a method for measuring glycated hemoglobin in a sample, which comprises directly oxidizing glycated hemoglobin in a sample using an enzyme, and then measuring a substance produced or consumed by the oxidation. A method for measuring glycated hemoglobin of the present invention is useful for diagnosing lifestyle-related disease such as diabetes mellitus.


A method for measuring fibroblast growth factor-23 (FGF-23) in a sample, which comprise the following steps:(1) reacting, in an aqueous medium, FGF-23 in a sample with magnetic particles, a first antibody or a fragment thereof which binds to FGF-23, and a second antibody or a fragment thereof which binds to FGF-23, to form on the magnetic particles an immunocomplex comprising the first antibody or a fragment thereof which binds to FGF-23, FGF-23, and the second antibody or a fragment thereof which binds to FGF-23;(2) collecting the magnetic particles in the reaction mixture after step (1) by magnetic force, and separating the magnetic particles collected by magnetic force from the other components; and(3) measuring the immunocomplex on the magnetic particles separated in step (2). The present invention provides a method for measuring FGF-23 in a sample, which have a high sensitivity and have a wide measurement range.

Described is a method for accurately and highly sensitively measuring glycated hemoglobin in a hemoglobin-containing sample without being influenced by hemoglobin. It is related to a method for measuring glycated hemoglobin in a hemoglobin-containing sample, comprising: reacting hemoglobin-containing sample with a protease in the presence of a surfactant; and then reacting the obtained reaction product with fructosyl peptide oxidase, wherein the latter reaction or both of the former reaction and the latter reaction are performed in the presence of a halogen oxide, and measuring the generated hydrogen peroxide. The method for measuring glycated hemoglobin in a hemoglobin-containing sample provided by the present invention is useful in, for example, the measurement of glycated hemoglobin useful in the diagnosis of diabetes mellitus.

Provided is a measuring method of a component to be measured in a specimen while suppressing an influence of bilirubin. A measuring method of a component to be measured, comprising converting the component to be measured in the specimen to hydrogen peroxide through an enzymatic reaction, reacting the formed hydrogen peroxide with an oxidative-coloring chromogen in the presence of a peroxidase, and measuring an absorbance of the colored reaction solution to thereby determine the component to be measured, wherein a fatty acid or a salt thereof coexists.
