[Problem] Provided is a method for producing an industrially advantageous hydrogenated polymer, whereby a high hydrogenation rate can be achieved by a small use amount therein at a level of not requiring a decalcification process of the catalyst. [Solution] A method for producing a hydrogenated polymer including hydrogenating, with a hydrogen molecule, a carbon-carbon double bond based on a conjugated diene structural unit of a polymer in which at least a part of a living polymer obtained by polymerizing a monomer containing one or more conjugated dienes using an organic alkali metal compound as a polymerization initiator is terminated by a hydrogen molecule, in the presence of a silane compound having at least one silyl hydride bond and an organic metal compound represented by the following general formula (I):^(1) to R^(10) are those as defined in the specification.

The present invention relates to a multilayer structure including a base (X), a layer (Y), and a layer (Z) disposed contiguous to the layer (Y). The layer (Y) includes a compound (A) containing a phosphorus atom and a polymer (B) having a hydroxy group and/or carboxyl group. A mass ratio between the compound (A) and the polymer (B) is 15 : 85 to 99 : 1 in the layer (Y). The layer (Z) is a layer containing aluminum atoms.

Provided is a water absorbent laminate including: a first fiber layer including a first fiber assembly including first hydrophilic fibers; and a second fiber layer including a second fiber assembly including wet-heat-adhesive fibers in an amount greater than or equal to 80% by mass, wherein a surface of the first fiber layer on a side opposite to the second fiber layer has a water absorption rate less than or equal to 10 seconds as determined in accordance with the dropping method defined in JIS L 1907. Also provided is a method for producing the water absorbent laminate. The water absorbent laminate can further include a third fiber layer including a third fiber assembly including second hydrophilic fibers between the first fiber layer and the second fiber layer.

The object of the present invention is to provide a carbonaceous material which is obtainable from plant-derived char and has a decreased specific surface area. Further, the object of the present invention is to provide a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery having excellent dedoping capacity, non-dedoping capacity, and charge-discharge efficiency. The object can be solved by a carbonaceous material for non-aqueous electrolyte secondary batteries characterized in that the carbonaceous material is obtained by heat-treating plant-derived char which is demineralized in gas-phase, and carbon precursor or volatile organic compound under a non-oxidizing gas atmosphere; and a specific surface area determined by a BET method is 10 m^(2)/g or less.

Provided are an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer, a resin composition and a molded product thereof being superior in long-run stability of melt molding, with inhibited coloring and generation of film forming defects such as flaws in formed film and streaks, and also being superior in appearance characteristics. An ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A) obtained by saponifying a copolymer of ethylene and a vinyl ester, in which molecular weights determined by using gel permeation chromatography with a differential refractive index detector and an ultraviolet and visible absorbance detector after a heat treatment in a nitrogen atmosphere at 220 C for 50 hrs satisfy the inequality (1):
