Effective prognostic tools are crucial for maintenance to predict failure before system completely damage and ensure systems reliability. Under the condition that the only available information is degradation observations from the forecasted system of interest, to perform fault prediction with uncertainty quantification, a recursive models re-sampling bootstrap (RMRB) associated with adaptive neural fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) predictor is presented. In addition with point prediction, the proposed RMRB could provide prediction interval (PI), thus reduce risks of misleading decision to maintenance. Faulty feature sensitive to system degradation is selected to compose time-series. Then the future time instance faulty feature prediction and its PI are provided by RMRB in two steps: firstly, a set of ANFIS predictors are updated dynamically by hybrid learning algorithm of recursive least squares and gradient descent (RLS-GD) according to temporal order; secondly, the candidate ANFIS predictors are re-sampled as bootstrap replications to estimate prediction mean and prediction interval. Case studies based on two real failure datasets show that the proposed approach can effectively estimate uncertainties coupled with fault pre-diction results. Source

We reported a new relative stereochemical studies on the total synthesis of harringtonolide where the strategy relied upon the application of intermolecular Diels-Alder reaction (IMDA) to form the tricyclic skeleton proceeded very efficiently as we expected. Originally grown and produced in southern of Yunnan, China, Pu-erh tea has a long history and carries rich cultural connotations. Consumption of Pu-erh has been thought to possess numerous health benefits including weight-loss, lowering of blood glucose levels, and preventing cardiovascular diseases. Research on humans, rodents, and cell lines have each confirmed that Pu-erh tea indeed displays weight-loss and blood lipid lowering effects. The main bioactive components, such as theabrownin (TB), polysaccharides, polyphenols, and statins, may down-regulate the biosynthesis of fat and up-regulate the oxidation of fat to cut weight and reduce the content of lipids in blood. Here, we summarize current progress on understanding the mechanisms and bioactive components of Pu-erh's weight-cutting effects as well as highlighting current weaknesses in the field in order to suggest possible solutions for future research on Pu-erh tea. In this paper, it is the first time that some important inequalities are obtained to estimate the exponential type of upper and lower bounds of solutions for the three representative classes of homogeneous impulsive dynamic systems on time scales. Based on these, some new criteria are established for admitting an exponential dichotomy of the impulsive dynamic systems. The obtained results are essentially new, even the time scale T=R or T=Z. In addition, in applications, we apply the obtained results to discuss the almost periodic problems of a class of integro-differential systems, and the numerical simulations are given to illustrate that our timescale methods are feasible and effective.
