Field experiments were conducted in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh during 2011 and 2012 to assess the effect of ridge and furrow planting on growth characters arid yield of soybean crop. The ridge and fun-furrow planting was better in term of growth parameters, seed yield and straw yield in comparison with normal flat bed sowing for soybean crop. Economic analysis revealed that the net profit (Rs. 28150 ha-1) was recorded higher under ridge and furrow planting compared to normal flat bed sowing (Rs. 17889 ha-1) for soybean crop in pooled data analysis.
