Aim of research – to develop complex of psychology-pedagogical conditions, directed on prevention of suicidal tendencies among teenagers. On analysis basis of scientific literature authors disclose main causes of suicidal behavior in adolescence. To confirm science veracity of advanced theoretic assumptions, describes experiment, conducted on basis of middle schools in Kostanay cities of The Republic of Kazakhstan. In it took part 300 pupils at age of 10-16 years. Results of approbation of methodics, oriented on development of value orientations system, communicational and organizational skills and abilities, showed an increase of maturity level of teenagers vitality in experimental group. Thus, proposed program can be used in modern psychology-pedagogical practice with aim to prevent formation of suicidal tendencies among teenagers. © 2016 Abil et al.

Nestbox programmes are frequently implemented for the conservation of cavity-nesting birds, but their effectiveness is rarely evaluated in comparison with birds not using nestboxes. In the European Palaearctic, Red-footed Falcon Falco vespertinus populations are both of high conservation concern and are strongly associated with nestbox programmes in heavily managed landscapes. We used a 21-year monitoring dataset collected on 753 nesting attempts by Red-footed Falcons in unmanaged natural or semi-natural habitats to provide basic information on this poorly known species; to evaluate long-term demographic trends within this population; and to evaluate response of demographic parameters of Red-footed Falcons to environmental factors including use of nestboxes. We observed significant differences among years in laying date, offspring loss and numbers of fledglings produced, but not in egg production. Of these four parameters, offspring loss and, to a lesser extent, number of fledglings exhibited directional trends over time. Variation in laying date and in numbers of eggs were not well explained by any one model of environmental factors, but instead by combinations of models, each with informative terms for nest type. Nevertheless, laying in nestboxes occurred 2.10 ± 0.70 days earlier than in natural nests. In contrast, variation in both offspring loss and numbers of fledglings produced were fairly well explained by a single model including terms for nest type, nest location and an interaction between the two parameters (65 and 81% model weights, respectively), with highest offspring loss in nestboxes on forest edges. Because, for other species, earlier laying dates are associated with more fit individuals, this interaction highlighted a possible ecological trap, whereby birds using nestboxes on forest edges lay eggs earlier but suffer greater offspring loss and produce lower numbers of fledglings than do those in other nesting settings. If nestboxes increase offspring loss for Red-footed Falcons in heavily managed landscapes where populations are at greater risk, or for the many other species of rare or endangered birds supported by nestbox programmes, these processes could have important demographic and conservation consequences. © 2017 British Ornithologists' Union.

Stipa lessingiana steppes used to be prevalent on the dry Trans-Ural denudation plains, particularly, on the Sub-Ural and the Turgay Plateau. But, most of them have been lost because they were plowed up during the Virgin Land campaign in the second part of 20th century. This paper presents a detailed study of the faunistic composition and the structure of soil-dwelling invertebrate communities (macrofauna) of a temperate-dry bunch feather grass steppe in the Turgai Plateau (Northern-Turgai physical-geographical province of steppe Kazakhstan, Kostanay Oblast). The study site is located in the territory of the Naurzum State Nature Reserve, a part of the UNESCO World Heritage site "Saryarka - Steppe and Lakes of Northern Kazakhstan", where remnants of Virgin S. lessingiana steppes have been preserved to the present day. This region is the driest and most continental in climate of all the dry steppes of Kazakhstan. The total abundance and biomass of soil invertebrate communities in the investigated site were lower than in the northern and western steppe areas. Soil invertebrates are among the major components that determine the functioning of terrestrial natural ecosystems.

Modern scientific literature views issues on adaptation based on various aspects: biological, medical, pedagogical, sociological, cybernetic, interdisciplinary, etc. The given article is devoted to the analysis of the problem of adaptation as social and psychological phenomenon including peculiarities of its functioning in the conditions of social and cultural acceleration (dynamics). The relevance of the problem under investigation is caused by the fact that in the context of the modernization of the education system one of the main tasks of higher education is the formation of the students’ key competencies. The article aims to compare the model of higher education in Kazakhstan and abroad, reveal the differences and identify a number of problems that must be solved for the formation of key competencies of academic writing. The leading approaches to the study of this problem are the survey of products of students’ activity, questioning, interview and the method of statistical processing of results. An analysis of the theoretical and methodological literature allowed to formulate the concept of academic literacy and to determine the level of readiness for the academic activities of students in pedagogical high school. Materials of this article may be useful for the students of pedagogical high school as the result of the interviews with the students of Kostanay State Pedagogical Institute has shown the need to introduce a special discipline in the educational process for the development of academic skills. © 2016 Ismagulova et al.

In the article the results of ascertaining experiment reflecting a real condition of the educating process on political culture of seniors at modern schools of Kazakhstan are presented. Authors of the article in detail analyze political life of Kazakh society, the reason of decrease in the level of political culture of the population in the country and growth of its patriarchate. On the basis of the offered model of education of political culture and the carried-out research with students, the level of a development of this phenomenon was defined, and readiness of teachers for implementation of ideological and political education of younger generation is defined.

The paper presents new approaches for assessing the conservation value of plant communities based on the use of quantitative criteria contained in databases and eco-floristic classification of steppe vegetation in the Don basin (Rostov region). The Black Sea and Kazakhstan steppes have significant potential for environmental protection. Analysis of biodiversity levels has been facilitated by descriptions of plant communities and quantitative indicators of major faunal groups of soil invertebrates (macrofauna) in the Tobol-Turgai basin (Kostanay region, Kazakhstan). As the structure of soil invertebrate communities is closely associated with vegetation, its assessment can provide insight into the degree of preservation or the depth of disturbance of ecosystems such as those found in the Black Sea and Kazakhstan steppes.

In this article the problem of language asymmetry and possibility of the gender and sensitive use of the Kazakh and Russian languages in the territory of Kazakhstan is discussed. One of the aspects of gender equality in society is also the language policy. Authors also suggest discussing this subject, involving experience of feministic linguistics of other countries, and first of all, of Germany. Gender and sensitive use of the language in oral and written communication is especially urgent for Kazakhstan as culturally determined features of the language policy in this cultural space have a gap due to the low level of special attention paid to gender democracy in the language. But at the same time, it creates a vast platform for further researches in this direction. Both language and political activity are determined by the fact that these intentions are part of the general social transformations in our society. An integrated approach to the analysis of gender and sensitive use of the language in Kazakhstan, systematization of theoretical knowledge demands, studying foreign experience in gender reform of the language and it is impossible to be implemented without linguistic data from other languages. The article covers a pressing issue of virtual communication between young people. If the environment of virtual communication is organized, it enables the effective use of its educational potential and the reduction of its negative impact upon the user. A special part is assigned to a youth non-governmental organization - a social institution which provides its personnel and methods for organizing this environment. A long-term social project "Time to Be Near" is proposed to make virtual communication of young people more educational. This project includes a set of pedagogical measures in virtual reality.
