There is provided a fiber laser processing machine, a fiber connection method and a fiber laser oscillator that are capable of improving the beam quality. A fiber laser processing machine comprises: a processing machine body provided with a laser processing head for emitting laser beams; a fiber laser oscillator including a fiber laser module for generating the laser beams and a feeding fiber cable for collectively taking out the laser beams generated by the fiber laser module; and a process fiber cable for transmitting the laser beams taken out by the feeding fiber cable of the fiber laser oscillator to the laser processing head of the processing machine body. The feeding fiber cable and the process fiber cable are joined by fusion, and the feeding fiber cable and the process fiber cable have an equal core diameter.

The speed setting means is configured to set a press production speed by setting a correspondence between rotational angles and rotational speeds at the rotational angles, which defines the rotary motion. The determination means is configured to determine whether or not the drive current detected by the current detecting means is greater than or equal to a first threshold. The speed changing means is configured to reduce all the rotational speeds set by the speed setting means by an equal ratio when the drive current detected by the current detecting means is greater than or equal to the first threshold.

There is provided an assist gas generation apparatus for a laser processing machine that is capable of dross-free cutting by using a nitrogen-rich gas and of reducing the cutting cost. An assist gas supply portion in a laser processing machine includes an air compressor for taking in air and compressing the air to a prescribed pressure, an oxygen separation device having an oxygen separation membrane for separating an oxygen gas from the air compressed by the air compressor and generating a nitrogen-rich gas, and a booster for compressing the nitrogen-rich gas generated by the oxygen separation device. A throttle portion is provided between the air compressor and the oxygen separation device or between the oxygen separation device and the booster.

A method of cutting a cut member out of an original sheet by means of thermal cutting and machining, and includes a hole-cutting process, a finishing process, and an outer periphery-cutting process. During the hole-cutting process, a hole is created in the original sheet by means of thermal cutting while leaving a machining allowance in addition to the finished size of the hole. During the finishing process, a cutting tool is inserted into the hole which has been created through the hole-cutting process, and the cutting tool is guided along the inner circumference of the hole so as to cut the thermally-cut end surface in order to machine the hole to the finished size. During the outer periphery-cutting process, the outer periphery of the cut member is cut by means of thermal cutting to take the cut member out of the original sheet.

The maximum stopping time calculating component calculates predicted stopping time in a case where the slide is driven at a maximum driving speed based on the slide driving speed after detecting the stopping instruction and the stopping time. The evaluating component evaluates performance of the brakes by comparing the predicted stopping time and a threshold valve set in advance.

A plurality of cutout members are cut out from a plate blank by a plasma arc generated from a plasma torch by a method including a piercing step and a cutting step. In the piercing step, an aperture is formed on an outer peripheral side of a cutout member by maintaining the plasma torch at a first height from the plate blank on the outer peripheral side of the cutout member while the plasma arc is generated from the plasma torch and by moving the plasma torch relative to the plate blank in a horizontal direction. In the cutting step, a continuous cutting groove is formed along an outer contour of the cutout member by setting the plasma torch at a second height lower than the first height and by moving the plasma torch in the horizontal direction along an incision part and a processing line continuing to the incision part.


There is provided a power control method for a fiber laser processing machine including: a fiber laser oscillator having a plurality of fiber laser modules each of which generates a laser beam; a laser processing head for emitting the laser beam generated from the fiber laser oscillator; and a condenser lens with a prescribed focal length provided between a workpiece and the laser processing head, for irradiating the workpiece with the laser beam having a spot diameter output from the laser processing head, wherein the number of the plurality of fiber laser modules oscillated is adjusted so as to achieve the spot diameter corresponding to the workpiece, and thereby, a beam quality from the laser processing head is adjusted.
