Design a single stage double suction centrifugal pump operating at high temperature and high pressure and analyze its performance by plotting the performance curves and using FEA software (ANSYS). Geometric modelling of the centrifugal pump is done using the three dimensional modelling software (PTC Creo 2.0). Applying the traditional theory to analyze and calculate the forces acting on pump components. Take the results as the boundary conditions for the software analysis. Introduce the model into ANSYS software and calculate the deflection, minimum and maximum principle stresses and Von-Misses stresses. Compare the theoretical results with the ANSYS results and determine the performance of the centrifugal pump. © Research India Publications. Source
