Embodiments of processes for producing propylene utilize a dual catalyst system comprising a mesoporous silica catalyst impregnated with metal oxide and a mordenite framework inverted (MFI) structured silica catalyst downstream of the mesoporous silica catalyst, where the mesoporous silica catalyst includes a pore size distribution of at least 2.5 nm to 40 nm and a total pore volume of at least 0.600 cm^(3)/g, and the MFI structured silica catalyst has a total acidity of 0.001 mmol/g to 0.1 mmol/g. The propylene is produced from the butene stream via metathesis by contacting the mesoporous silica catalyst and subsequent cracking by contacting the MFI structured silica catalyst.

A photovoltaic system is described that improves energy efficiency (conversion of solar energy to electrical energy) by beam-splitting, via reflective filters, the incident solar light into a reflective portion and an exit portion. The reflective portion and the exit portion are directed to respective photovoltaic cells that convert the incident light energy into electrical energy. The concentrated solar light is collimated then split via reflective filters saving on the reflective filter area and reducing overall bulkiness of the beam-splitting system. Further, a cascade of multiple filters is used to split either the reflected spectra or the exit spectra of solar light.

The present invention relates to a door security system and method. More particularly, the present invention provides a door security system and method increasing the home security for elder people without limiting the privacy of or convenience for residents. The method comprises detecting closing of a door; keeping a first locking mechanism of said door in an open position for a first predetermined period of time after said closing; after said predetermined period of time, changing said first locking mechanism into a locked position. The re-entry time frame permits a user to re-enter without a key, immediately after realizing they forgot it. The invention further provides a home security method comprising recognizing a motion of a person on a door of a house through a camera provided in or near the door; producing streaming footage through a video camera; sending the produced streaming footage to a central processing server hidden inside the house; processing the streaming footage for face recognition purpose and checking against several databases in order to assess, if the person on the outside is either a person positively marked by the homeowner, such as friend and family, or negatively marked; and storing all data on the server. The home security method finds a compromise between security of the residents while maintaining the privacy using a step-up-evaluation process of potential incidents.

The level of 1-hexene incorporation in the LLDPE can be controlled by varying the ethylene pressure. Tandem, co-silica-supported ethylene trimerization and ethylene/1-hexene copolymerization catalysts produce linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) from an ethylene-only feedstock. The percentage 1-hexene incorporation in the LLDPE may be varied by adjusting the amounts of the two catalysts on the silica support.

Accordingly, in a first preferred embodiment, the present invention provides a bath plug device for closing a drain pipe of a bath tub, comprising a bath plug, a cone attached to the top of the bath plug, and at least one pedal-like unit attached to the left and/or to the right of the cone. In another preferred embodiment, the present invention provides a shower fall prevention device, comprising a fixing point on a ceiling of a shower and two arm pit hooks pivotable connected to the fixing point. The shower fall prevention device may further comprise a rod connected between the fixing point and a bar, wherein said arm pit hooks are connected on right and left ends of the bar. The shower fall prevention device may further comprise a strong rubber band or an extendable and retractable belt rolled up in a box, fixed to the fixing point and connected between the fixing point and the rod. The shower fall prevention device may further comprise a handle next to the rod and connected to the bar via an extension of a free end of one of the arm pit hooks. The shower fall prevention device may further comprise a cushion formed on an extension of a free end of one of the arm pit hooks, wherein said cushion is movable upwards and to the side.
