The experimental testing of the theoretical concepts of a modified Mayadas–Shatzkes model for the conductivity in thin polycrystalline films with a thin coating has been carried out. It is shown that the deposition of Ni coatings onto Co films increases the specific conductance in bilayer samples with respect to the conductivity in the basic (uncovered) specimen. At the same time, the coating of the Ni films with Cu and of the Cu films with Ni leads to a decrease of the film conductivity. This phenomenon takes place due to the enhancement or worsening of the grain boundary transparency when the coating is deposited. © T.P. HOVORUN, O.A. BILOUS, O.P. GAPONOVA, L.V. DEKHTYARUK, A.M. We conducted thermodynamic studies of creation of the compounds of calcium hydrosilicates. The comparison was performed of the use of calcium hydroxide and calcium oxide in the calciumsilicate mixture. It is demonstrated that the higher thermodynamic probability of reaction is characteristic for calcium oxide. The values of enthalpy of reaction with calcium oxide were examined. Reaction with calcium oxide has an exothermic character. The use of calcium hydroxide leads to the endothermic nature of reaction. The effect of mechanical activation and chemical activation on strength of the samples of silicate brick is confirmed. The joint action of these types of activation is more effective. The occurrence of a synergetic effect with the joint action on the mixture of mechanical and chemical activation is shown. It was established that the joint action of mechanical and chemical activation creates conditions for reactions of the creation of calcium hydrosilicates without an autoclave. This is important since this makes it possible to create more energyefficient technologies for silicate building articles. © 2016 Varvara Vinnichenko, Alexander Krot, Natalia Vitsenko.

When employing the known theoretical dependences, intended for the calculation of parameters of volume of the working chamber of the pump, motor and diameter of the cylinder sleeve under condition of using the same input and output data, we identified a significant discrepancy between the obtained calculated results. The need to eliminate the differences that we detected necessitated additional theoretical research. Theoretical studies of the design stage of hydraulic drive as the object of research are based on the application of the systems approach. Hydraulic drive is represented as a complex system, composed in the form of two or more subsystems that are functionally interconnected. Thus, one of the subsystems in the designed hydraulic drive consists of a pump and an oil tank. The second subsystem consists of a hydroallocator, pipelines and hydraulic engine with the function of translational or rotational motion, that is, consists of a hydraulic cylinder or a hydraulic engine. By the results of conducted theoretical research, we proposed a sequence for calculating the parameters of basic elements of hydraulic drive. This sequence includes the calculation of parameters of volume of the working chamber of the pump, motor and diameter of cylinder sleeve followed by the selection of technical specification or standardized magnitudes for each element of the hydraulic drive. Results of the calculation of parameters of the basic elements of hydraulic drive according to the performed research, relative to the known ones, are approximately in be- tween them. Based on this, we may conclude that the research results obtained are new and provide for a more accurate selection of elements for the hydraulic drive during its design. When designing other elements of the hydraulic drive, the calculation and selection of the standardized parameters coincide with the known technique. The application of the proposed methodology contributes to the creation of modern hydraulic drive. It is shown that the production of dolomite clinker in comparison with that of Portland cement is environmentally appropriate. When calcining dolomite for cementitious binder, the pollution of the atmosphere by carbon dioxide is reduced due to its isolation during decarbonization reactions of calcium carbonates. Reducing fuel consumption for clinker burning provides less carbon dioxide emissions from combustion products. Reducing the firing temperature creates obstacles to the formation of nitrogen oxides. The production of binders from dolomite in comparison with the production of Portland cement helps to protect the environment from contamination. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2017.

Natural frequencies and eigenmodes of oscillations are the determining values in the study of dynamic processes in many constructions, including mast systems when they are affected by time-varying loads: wind, seismic, etc. [7]. The article suggests a method of forming, by means of a purposeful variation of the geometrical parameters of the mast, the spectrum of natural frequencies of bending vibrations. The basis is the necessary optimality conditions for one-dimensional models in the form of the maximum principle [1, 3, 8]. The analysis of the sensitivity of the spectrum [9] to small changes in geometric parameters that inevitably arise during the operation of the masts is carried out. An algorithm for using functional derivatives for finding optimal solutions is constructed. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2017.

Based on the conducted information retrieval and review of the scientific literature, unsolved issues have been identified in the process of preparation of dry construction mixtures in the conditions of a construction site. The constructions of existing technological complexes for the production of dry construction mixtures are considered and their main drawbacks are identified in terms of application in the conditions of the construction site. On the basis of the conducted research, the designs of technological sets of small-sized equipment for the preparation of dry construction mixtures in the construction site are proposed. It is found out that the basis for creating the proposed technological kits are new designs of concrete mixers operating in cascade mode. A technique for calculating the main parameters of technological sets of equipment is proposed, depending on the use of the base machine of the kit. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2017.

According to statistics 75 % of accidents at ferroconcrete water disposal pipelines are caused by biogenic sulfuric corrosion. Till nowadays insufficient information about features of autotrophic bacteria life activity, absence of methods of their operative concentration control have not allowed developing effective ways of suppression of chemosynthesis in these object. The aim of this work is identification of quantitative indexes and mathematical modeling of thiobacilli association development on sewage pipeline upstructure part and process of concrete biogenic corrosion at these objects. On the basis of complex process study presented in the article necessary kinetic constants are defined; mathematical models of extremely acidophilic thiobacilli association development and process of concrete biogenic corrosion are developed. Mathematical model unit «Aerobic chemosynthesis of thiobacilli (oxidation of reducible sulfur compounds to sulfuric acid)» includes substrate diffusion process (H2S) from condensate moisture in biofilm and its consumption, whereas mathematical model unit «Microbiological sulfuric acid corrosion of concrete» includes mathematical description of diffusion of sulphuric acid formed by thiobacilli in concrete and its interaction with concrete hydrates.

The article provides the analysis of the Kharkov sewerage system. The major issues of sewage collector's protection from corrosion are examined; it is showed that the main part in selection of materials for tunnel collector's constructions recovery, apart from other technical and economic characteristics, is assigned to their corrosion resistance. Reliable water disposal is provided by performance of various technical and organizational measures. The most important measure is timely capital repairs and worn out sewage networks recovery. Methods of collectors recovery are considered; underground method of recovery of sewer pipeline in diameter of 1500 mm with the use of polyethylene short pipes in diameter of 1200 mm, implemented at repair of Juzhnaja street in Kharkov, is suggested.
